APPROVED!!

:dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

I was so nervous it was untrue! I couldn't get my paperwork out of my folder because my hands were shaking so badly. In the end it was all over with in a matter of minutes and I felt like a fool for getting into such a state.

Gillian

Congrats again! We've been waiting for your news!!! Its just a relief to have it over isn't it?

Getting closer now...

It was time for an update. Basically Dan is waiting to get an interview date. Nothing has come in the mail, but he sent back his packet 3 which they receive early last week. He had his medical, xrays and shots. He has all the evidence, the packet I sent him of the original petition, my affedavit of support, employer letters, bank letter etc... the whole kit and caboodle. We are just waiting for the consulate to give him date!!! I hope it is soon. I am hoping by some miracle he could be here in Feb for V-day. Wouldn't that be nice!

Congrats to those who got approvals.... I am very happy for you, and those still waiting are in my prayers. Chin up!

any word on what's going with ur extended review??

That would be a big fat NO  . It's making me a little crabby these days. I'm so tense all the time waiting, checking, worrying, panicking. They haven't said anything to my congressman either which is weird in my opinion. I don't think it's the same as administrative processing. Last time I called they said it was in the name check state & would to to a processor after that. It's been touched a couple times since that phone call so what the heck? Back on a stack of petitions? Under petitions from August, September etc?? Can you tell i'm bitter? lol

I'm trying to not think about it. I'm going to visit Jeremy next week and I WON'T ruin my visit worrying about this but right now I'm worried that we're going to get bad news beforehand and we won't be able to help but be sad while i'm there. What if they flat out deny our petition? What if we have to start over? Does that ever happen? I can't imagine why they'd do that to us but I keep going over in my mind what we submitted and wonder what the holdup is.

Gonna stop myself now, I could ramble on and on here lol.

Sorry to hear that....I hope they get back from their "learning the months of the year" class soon and get urs in order :help:

Awesome I am happy for you... VSC sends it quick to NVC. I got approved Dec 23, reached NVC Dec 27 and sent out Jan 4 to Delhi.. i know its like 10 days but it was thru all the holidays....

Congrats!!!! :dance::dance:

GRATZIES!!!! I am soo happy for you!!! It is great we have more of those NOA2s out of the way - will be a grand day indeed when that NOA2 column on the spreadsheet is all filled out...

CBR - I know exactly what you mean about feeling sidelined by USCIS and it can be bittersweet seeing approvals. It's awful because you feel happy for everyone but envious and anxious at the same time. I was talking to my (future) sister-in-law last night about progress on July petitions in an attempt to explain how close we should be in terms of obtaining the actual visa. I explained that some people are still waiting approval at the first stage and tried to work out a possible interview date for me if we got approved this week. This entailed doing some comparisons - and then it dawned on me that there are people literally days away from getting the visa in hand who only submitted a week before us! There are also people who submitted weeks before me who are still waiting on NOA2.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't me complaining about people getting theirs now, this is me wondering why the hell USCIS is actually not processing petitions in received order like they claim to be.

A few years ago I worked for the NHS allocating actual costs for drugs prescribed - you know, making sure the chemist gets £90.00 for that box of 21 proprietary tablets your doc gave you rather than the £6 or so you paid for it. They had 6 or 7 branches around the country but every branch finished a particular months batches on the same date and did not start the next month until all batches were finished for the previous month. This sometimes entailed sending excess batches to another branch by courier. But, everyone finished to deadline so chemists would get their payment on time. If we were behind they offered overtime until deadlines could be met. Now I realise it takes longer to approve a petition than it does a single prescription, but when you consider the volume of prescriptions given out daily I think it's not difficult to see how a similar system could be used to success with immigration petitions. Why should someone who filed a week before someone else end up being effectively 2-3 months ahead? And we know that later filers will get ahead too. If say, VSC, has finished approving July filers (save the RFE's) then why not offload CSC before starting on August?

I'm really not having a go at those of you who have your NOA2s, interviews, visas in the bag - you know, I would be absolutely thrilled right now if I was in the same position and I am genuinely pleased for you. I am frustrated by the apparent unfairness of the system and understand why people feel bitter/upset and disappear from the forums.

I vented. I feel better.

Wow I almost missed your approval! I am SO pleased for you. You had such a rough time over your petition too. Congratulations! :luv:

I missed this one too!! Congrtulations Kausch!!!!!! Super news!!!!! :dancing: :joy:

Thanks so much everyone. Getting the NOA2 compares to nothing else.

cjindia - thanks thats very encouraging to know that VSC to NVC to India would not be that long!

Babblesgirl, CBR - I know exactly what you guys are feeling. Was going through the same bittersweetness before the NOA2. Its made me very upset at USCIS when they approve September and October filers when theres still quite a few June, July, and August filers still waiting. I was so happy for everyone who got their NOA2s but wished they would do it in the right order! I DO sincerely hope you get your NOA2s soon. Seems like CSC needs to catch up and be as fast as VSC has been.

A smooth visa journey and much speed to all!

I was so nervous it was untrue! I couldn't get my paperwork out of my folder because my hands were shaking so badly. In the end it was all over with in a matter of minutes and I felt like a fool for getting into such a state.

Gillian

Yay!! I know Debz already said it on my behalf (good girl!!) but huge gratzies!!! You have it plastered all over your wall on facebook as well  Nice to know it was so simple - what questions did they ask?! I'm sure we'll all get nervous anyway no matter how short a time it takes!!! :D Soooo happy for you *hugs*

PS My diet continues.... as do the wedding plans. Our receoption will be Sept 26th....

Christine

Hah! Diet going... ok... I had Chinese last night and even though I went to my friends tonight I did have a healthy microwave meal instead of macaroni cheese or something equally evil... ok so there were a couple treats in there too but then there tend to be and I also consumed a lot of fruit so that makes me feel better - just need to get my @$$ in gear on some exercise regime that my lazy self can be bothered to keep up for the next four weeks!!!

Having one of those "really miss nick bad" nights. You know the nights when it just all seems to pile on top of you even more than usual and the only thing you feel could make you feel better is a hug from your OH but thats the one thing you can't have. So going to curl up with a cocoa with cinnamon and ####### TV.

Ohhh - I was going to text you earlier (before I heard about Gillian!) because I drove to my friend's house from work in tears listening to Avril Levigne... I don't know why it just kinda hit a spot with me - I don't do missing Jeremy too much - I cherish the good times and look forward to the future but I have got better things to do than be miserable the whole time we are apart... But I was almost sobbing - I could barely see to drive and it was awful - I was glad it was dark!!! Maybe I was just having some kind of remote empathy link to you or something but it has been a weird day for emotions - I think things are beginning to sink in a bit so I am all over the place... think some of it might be hormones as well though... Anyway - for those of you interested and who don't know the song, here are the lyrics:

"When You're Gone"

I always needed time on my own

I never thought I'd need you there when I cry

And the days feel like years when I'm alone

And the bed where you lie is made up on your side

When you walk away I count the steps that you take

Do you see how much I need you right now

[Chorus]

When you're gone

The pieces of my heart are missing you

When you're gone

The face I came to know is missing too

When you're gone

The words I need to hear to always get me through the day and make it ok

I miss you

I've never felt this way before

Everything that I do reminds me of you

And the clothes you left, they lie on the floor

And they smell just like you, I love the things that you do

When you walk away I count the steps that you take

Do you see how much I need you right now

[Chorus]

We were made for each other

Out here forever

I know we were, yeah

All I ever wanted was for you to know

Everything I'd do, I'd give my heart and soul

I can hardly breathe I need to feel you here with me, yeah

[Chorus]

Oh how sad am I?! I'm in tears again just reading them!!!
