The new timeline thing must only be on the forum homepage then perhaps... I can't see it on here and I am being naughty and comign on here in work  It is at the top right on one of the main pages :) If you actually go to edit your timline now as well there are screenies of the NOAs to show which date to use :D

Haha, same happened to me, I thought they changed the format; I freaked. It actually took me a couple days to fix. :bonk:

It happened to me too! I was too embarrassed to ask what happened! Eventually figured it out on my own, but it was a few days of hell!!

 I think we all must have done it!! Oh - and any news on Audrey?! I keep asking but no-one answers - Julez - do you know? I know you were close

I haven't heard a word from Audrey! I'm worried about her. I think seeing all the other NOA2s combined with the lost RFE notice was too much for her. I did send her a little note, but heard nothing back from her. I do wish she'd pop in and let us know how she's doing. She's one of us!

Yeah I think about her a lot - I wish she would come on here - I know when I was feeling awful it helped me so much... sometimes I guess people just want space but it would be really nice if we knew how she was doing... When was she last active? I haven't checked her profile recently...

CBR - is it just something they do for quality control or something?! I am sure you will hear something soon - there is no reason they would deny you anything - if anything they would send you an RFE surely - it just sounds to me they are going through things with a fine toothcomb to make sure that everything is ok - I am positive you will get good news soon :) *hugs* Keep your chin up!!

Last I knew, she was on Dec. 14 and said she couldn't handle being around here any more. I know she and Phil were off to Fiji for hols, though I can't remember her return date...thought it was in early Jan. I'll send her another note.

Would be cool - nice to know she managed to get away though - Fiji - very nice!! I think I remember her mentioning it but it seems so long ago...

CBR - I know exactly what you mean about feeling sidelined by USCIS and it can be bittersweet seeing approvals. It's awful because you feel happy for everyone but envious and anxious at the same time. I was talking to my (future) sister-in-law last night about progress on July petitions in an attempt to explain how close we should be in terms of obtaining the actual visa. I explained that some people are still waiting approval at the first stage and tried to work out a possible interview date for me if we got approved this week. This entailed doing some comparisons - and then it dawned on me that there are people literally days away from getting the visa in hand who only submitted a week before us! There are also people who submitted weeks before me who are still waiting on NOA2.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't me complaining about people getting theirs now, this is me wondering why the hell USCIS is actually not processing petitions in received order like they claim to be.

A few years ago I worked for the NHS allocating actual costs for drugs prescribed - you know, making sure the chemist gets £90.00 for that box of 21 proprietary tablets your doc gave you rather than the £6 or so you paid for it. They had 6 or 7 branches around the country but every branch finished a particular months batches on the same date and did not start the next month until all batches were finished for the previous month. This sometimes entailed sending excess batches to another branch by courier. But, everyone finished to deadline so chemists would get their payment on time. If we were behind they offered overtime until deadlines could be met. Now I realise it takes longer to approve a petition than it does a single prescription, but when you consider the volume of prescriptions given out daily I think it's not difficult to see how a similar system could be used to success with immigration petitions. Why should someone who filed a week before someone else end up being effectively 2-3 months ahead? And we know that later filers will get ahead too. If say, VSC, has finished approving July filers (save the RFE's) then why not offload CSC before starting on August?

I'm really not having a go at those of you who have your NOA2s, interviews, visas in the bag - you know, I would be absolutely thrilled right now if I was in the same position and I am genuinely pleased for you. I am frustrated by the apparent unfairness of the system and understand why people feel bitter/upset and disappear from the forums.

I vented. I feel better.

Me too! I think she said she wouldn't be back until the evening sometime to let us know! Arg!

To babblesgirl - I feel terrible that you and so many others are STILL waiting. It makes no sense to me whatsoever. You have every right to vent and never need to apologize for doing so! I sincerely hope you're approved soon!

It's certainly nothing personal Julez. I have loved following the July filers and their individual stories and hearing NOA2/visa news. I wish the best for each and every one of us. Thanks for your encouragement :luv:

Is Audrey a-jeanne? If so, I sent her a message too after seeing her last post on 12/14. I think she was from my state and I related to what she was going through. I sure hope she comes back too. She sounded so upset it worried me. Hopefully she's just unwinding somewhere nice and will come back refreshed with what she needs in her mailbox.

Jeraly, I have no idea what it is. They couldn't tell me other than it's extended review. I don't even know if it really still in that or what. The last guy said it was in regular processing, name check stage. I have a common name, first and last, so hopefully that's all it is. I've only called twice so far and am afraid of what they'd say the next time. It's too confusing.

Babblesgirl, I hear ya! I get so excited hearing about everybody's wedding plans. I love to hear the apparent happiness and excitement and at the same time it tears me apart because I'm anxious for it myself.

I realized that fact a while ago that there are some who are nearing their entry into the US who filed after us. I'm sure they'll be here at least 4-6 months before my sweetie is and it breaks my heart. Happy for them, sad for us. I saw one who filed in September who has an interview this week. I don't get that at all. I mean I know we all want the same thing. We all miss our fiance's and are anxious to start our lives together. It's just not fair when you see the time differences.

I did see an article about how the USCIS contracts some of their work out so it got me thinking that maybe that's how some of us got left in the dust. THat outside agency could have our files and just works that much slower. It would make sense that the people at USCIS keep going with what they have and since some are offsite they don't even realize they are skipping people over. It sucks!!

Yes! I'm worried too!

And I am extremely puzzled by your situation. I have never heard of that one before! That just sucks so bad CBR. Its just so bizarre to me that so many are still waiting. Its all so random. I wish you the best and hope you get resolution soon.

Thanks Julez. I wish I had found this site and this group of July filers long ago. You're an awesome bunch (F) .

The May and June filers still waiting puzzle me even more. My heart goes out to them.

Hi Chris,

I cant help but ask this coz my fiance filed K1 and was acknowledged July 10. First touched was July 14, till now no touch or movement yet. Looking at your timeline, we were even ahead than yours. Anyway, i havent really been impatient but it has been 6 months already and its only this Dec that i became edgy about this. Now im thinking that perhaps the reason our papers has been delayed coz he has been divorced twice. Just wana know if you havent been married or been divorced too. Your reply to this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kat

Hi Kat, actually i am divorced. i had one previous marriage. but i dont think that is your holdup. you say you didnt get any touches since july so it sounds like they havent gotten to your petition yet. i would call them and find out where your petition is. you are now outside the 6 month timeframe. i did include a CERTIFIED copy of my divorce. if your guy was divorced bbefore he needs to submit a certified copy of it. not a regular copy.

Chris

I wasn't sure who you were referring to since I spent some time away from the boards back in december. I remember a-jeanne well. I hope everything is ok with her and that she comes back to update us when she receives some news.

:dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

I was so nervous it was untrue! I couldn't get my paperwork out of my folder because my hands were shaking so badly. In the end it was all over with in a matter of minutes and I felt like a fool for getting into such a state.
