Sounds wonderful! I am wondering if with the sage advice of a kitty-maniac-veteran I could get another cat when I move... I don't know how Daisy will take it but if it is a new place then she won't have marked it as "her" territory yet and it will give her someone to fight when they are waiting indoors for a while to get them used to the house :)

Think will defo need to pick Mags' brains :)

I would highly recommend a second kitty!! jasper's only been here since Sunday, but already things are going pretty well! Rory has finally stopped hissing at him! Just waiting for the friendship to develop, which I am sure it will!

As long as your kitty is fixed it doesn't matter. I used to have a boy as well, Puck's brother, but he died of congestive heart failure last year. :(

Personally I think males have better personalities. I would love to get another companion for Puck but I think she'd hate it and never truly adjust.

Hello everyone,

I haven't been here in a minute since I 'm still dealing with the "Notice of Intention to Deny" I already replied with the requested documents and evidence, hoping for the best. The mail is slow around this period but I hope they will get my response before Jan 7 which is the deadline for reponse. I got a question for everyone, I have a family of 4 who just had their DV (lottery) interview last week but were all denied because they (husband & wife) added the guy's son from previous marriage to the petition after the fact (after the lady won), the son wasn't included in the initial application when she played. Nevertheless the embassy took the interview fees from this poor family ($3000+ ($755 a piece) to my knowledge). Is there any remedy to this craziness, any appeal? This might be against the rules, policy or whatsoever, some might say they broke the rule, I think refund them some of the money and just take the interview fees i.e like the $100 that they normally take for visiting interview. Or give the ones that are qualified. Just my 2 cent. Any advice will be apprciated so I can pass it on to them.

I've always preferred girly cats - I find them more active and playful... more viscious as well though!!!

Am looking at honeymoon activities!! Ohhh it is going to be soooo awesome!! :D I am totally excited - we are about to book the flights tonight! :D Oh!! Here is our hotel:

Oooo the hotel looks perty schnazzy! How exciting for you! I probably missed this in a previous post, but are you going on a honeymoon? Are you having a big fullscale wedding in the US? Is your family going to fly here for it? Or are you having a ceremony there too?

Well we're having the main ceremony in February as everything was booked last April when we thought the visa process would take 6-7 months. Then with the post delaying our petition by a month and the huge July backlog we had to rethink - we're just having the non-legal ceremony so we don't have to cancel everything because it would cost us so much. Annoying thing if it wasn't for the postal service we would prolly not have to do all this :(

Such is life and everything happens for a reason!! We were debating whether to have our honeymoon now or when we have our legal wedding but decided it would be better now - we'll be in Hawai'i for Valentine's Day! And my birthday!!! :) We'll have an evening reception in the UK with around 100 people then in the US we are going to have our legal wedding as a cheap and cheerful cheesy Vegas do :D

Hello to the board!!!! just back from 2 fab weeks in London, and now impatiently waiting for our interview date!! Our Packet 3 was received and we were eligible for the interview as of Dec 28th, just not scheduled yet. hopefully soon *crosses every digit* as our feb 16th wedding is 6 weeks and 1 day away!!!! ahhhhhhhhhh

Just wanted to say hello to everyone, congrats to all the good news (have been doing tons of reading to catch up!!) looks like July is off to the races!!!

Julez - that is freaking amazing about your interview!!! I can't believe THEY called HIM!!!! Congrats and good luck (not that you'll need it!) how's the wedding planning coming?? is he flying back with you when you go out there mid January??

Jeraly - just read your last wedding post, is your 'non-legal' wedding in the UK?? Why did I think you were coming to the states for the wedding and then going back?? or am I totally confused? or are you doing one in both places and then the vegas thing?

Debz - I know you were asking when to call DOS. I would say call everyday if you want to. they don't keep track of it like USCIS did, and you usually get a different customer service person every time, so it can't hurt! being a bit impatient and stressed about getting the interview in time for the wedding am adopting the strategy of calling every day from here on out til I here about the interview date!!!! maybe a little obsessive, but we are so close and I NEED to know asap to finish wedding plans, matt to buy plane tix etc.!!!

hope everyone has a fab friday!

That sounds fabulous!! You both deserve a nice honeymoon in Hawaii after all this ####### (immigration in general), heck we all do lol! It's getting down to the wire, you've got to be so excited! A while back when you said you weren't concerned about your petition getting approved and that your wedding was in February I thought you meant NEXT February. I can't believe you were so calm about it. I'd have been freaking out. Congratulations to you both and goo dluck with all the planning.
