I am overnighting my stuff to Griff tomorrow since we weren't expecting such a quick interview date! I thought I would hand deliver the stuff on Jan. 19th, when I'm over for a visit! Thankfully, I have all the docs together!

I'm at that horrible missing Jeremy stage - I hate the leaving and coming and going all the time - once we are apart I cope better (or if we are together obviously) but other than that grr!!! Still feel like I have so many fiddly things to do!! Need to do stuff!! Will try and get organised over the weekend

I know what you mean. That first few days after I have to leave my Jeremy I miss him soo much it's unbearable. Then I get back into the daily routine and we're back to the phone & computer communication for a while and it gets better (never good enough tho).

At least now you have the excitement of your interview to prepare for .

By the way, I've been meaning to ask this...how do you reply to several different quotes in the same box? I can't figure it out.

Haha! You have a Jeremy too!! I'll feel better when he is home safe but he is going to be so busy trying to sort wedding things out and working - I don't know how much time we will get "together".

As for the quotes - just click on the quote button below each post you want to reply to then at the bottom of the page click on add reply and it will put all the bb code in for you

Are you having a "legal" wedding when you get to the US and then a "real" wedding later on? I don't know why I thought you had like almost a year until your wedding.

Haha - I find it easier to refer to different posts when I have been AWOL for a while! i can trawl through the posts I have missed and click the quote button for each then when I go to add reply they are all there - i can edit the bits out that I don't want and it just means I don't miss anything - of course it can make for a long post if I haven't been around for a while but now Jeremy has left they might be a little shorter

Any news from those touches yet?! I know they have only just started working at CSC now but I got my touches at 8am PST so... - really have my fingers crossed for yoU!!!

So sorry to hear about the RFE. Nothing is straightforward it seems. You sent the right money in the right timeframe and because of THEIR mistake you've ended up being RFE'd as a result of the damn notice date on an NOA1 you should have received early August. Their systems are not as foolproof as they should be. I don't know how many times I've said on VJ that the 'notice date' is more trouble than it's worth and here is proof.

If it's any consolation (I doubt it) we have had heard nothing whatsoever on our petition. We are wondering whether ours got filed with the September filers as a result of the notice date on our NOA1.

Yea, thats what bugged me too that it took them so long to even send the notice. Anyway, I do hope that your petition is approved without any RFEs. hang in there. CSC seems to be a little slower than VSC but it seems to be catching up. So anytime for you now

So my touch was not a good touch! I received the dreadful RFE in the mail!! They want me to show evidence of having met each other in the past two years between the dates September 24, 2005 - September 24, 2007. Now I met my SO in August 2005, last saw him August 28, 2005, filed in July 2007, provided evidence that we met within two years of that period. The received date on my NOA1 says July 27th 2007 clearly! I called USCIS today and talked to this person and told him the story, he said "it seems they are confused with the priority date" (my resubmission in September) "Send them a letter and let them know." So I sent the RFE response out today itself with a copy of my NOA1 and the received date highlighted with a million arrows pointing to it so they dont miss it.

Kaush - that sucks - fingers crossed that it will get sorted out with that letter - after all, it seems that it is their mistake not yours yet you are the one suffering for it Is there no way you can visit your SO in the meantime? I know it is difficult with money and time off work and things but it would a) prove a point to the USCIS and B) allow you to visit your SO and be together for a little bit I really admire how you can go so long without seeing each other *hugs*

Thank Aly, I have decided to visit him Valentines Day - I've had it, been too long! Havent told him yet, but I have a few days off work the week after and will take a couple of days off the week before - hopefully if I can keep to myself until then, it'll be a surprise for him!. The thought keeps me going :-)

For the financial stuff, is there a guideline where I can check numbers and decide if I will need a co-sponsor?

Just curious.. in figuring the 125% above poverty lvl, how do you count the size of your family? Are you supposed to add the fiance to that #? So for me and my 2 kids would it be considered 3? Or would it be 4 to include my fiance?

Oh and to answer your question, Jeraly, no more news on the touches. Last one was 12/26. Maybe the person working on ours is off for the holidays now. It was weird that it was updated on the 25th though. That surprised me big time.

especially to those who recently got approved.... and a big CONGRATS to all of them what a nice christmas present

I still havent heart anything about my case, i get pretty sad at times now, at least i went to the US to be able to celebrate christmas together with my fiancee. He hasnt seen his son ever since he was born, but still how nice would it be if we could get approved now, so that I can already bring the papers for pack 3 to germany.. how nice would it be to just go back and get the last things done... no more waiting for approvals would be awesome

This waiting is so incredibly difficult and I always think about people with kids involved who don't get to see one of their parents for so long. My heart goes out to you and everyone else in that situation. It's just not right to keep families/fiances apart like this. I'm glad you were able to be together for Christmas. I'm sure your going to hear something very soon.

Maybe they will be able to give you a better answer. Hopefully it will get to the embassy quick and easy :-)
