In answer to your question: We never received Packet 3 and he was notified of the interview via phone, but the woman who called said she'll mail Packet 4 today!

So what does packet 4 contain? I have the 8 pages of packet 3 courtesy of Debz which is useful!! She scanned them and e-mailed them to me Let us know when you get packet 4 and we can fill in the spreadsheet even more - I can't believe it is our time now!!!

So onto other things... once our little July bunch are all safely Stateside, where do we go to hang out!? I know there will be different threads but I kinda like the community atmosphere here!!

Well, Packet 3 was mailed to my fiance, and after 2 weeks waiting it never arrived in the post. BUT we knew what needed to be sent to the embassy, so last Friday he sent all the docs and the checklist next day delivery. You can download all the forms off the US London Embassy website, which generates a bar code.

As P3 still hadn't arrived as of yesterday, he called the embassy extortion line to ask for a second P3 since he needs the letter from the packet and the medical questionnaire to bring to the medical. Out of the blue they called him at work this morning, said "we got your email and notice that your medical is scheduled for the 7th of Jan, so why not just make one trip and arrive at the embassy for a 7:30 AM interview?" Of course, he jumped at the chance!

They have all the stuff from P3 showing his readiness for the interview, its just that we never received the P3 they mailed. This is certainly not the way it usually happens. Just a fluke. So, you do need P3 inasmuch as you need to send back the completed docs & checklist to show you are ready for the interview.

Packet 4 is just a letter that lists the date and time of your interview.

We'll have to figure out where to "hang our hats" once we're all in the US!

YAY!! I can finally track Jeremy's flight - he's just south of Iceland and left about 22 minutes late Feel better now I can see his plane moving across a 2d map... how sad

I'm just going to copy and paste my news in a few different threads! So here goes:

Well, despite the fact that the Packet 3 mailed from London on Dec. 11th never reached my fiance didn't deter us from mailing the docs back to the Embassy on Dec. 21. However, with the Jan. 7th medical looming and not having those docs, yesterday Griff bit the bullet and called the extortion line. They gave him a special code to email the embassy to ask for a duplicate packet 3. He received the standard auto-reply that they'll act on his email in 3 - 4 days.

Fast forward to this morning. Griff is at work, the phone rings. Its the Embassy calling. They asked him since he's coming to London on Jan. 7th for the medical at 2:30, would he mind popping into the embassy at 07:30 for his interview that same day? OMG!!!! YES!!!! I can't believe it!!!! We are both so excited since this means we can get married on Feb. 16th as planned!!!

OMG thats so good...wow I'm so happy for you! actually gives me a wee bit of hope.

yep...I'm a flight tracker to...I needed to see where Nick was. I was worried sick until I got his call to say he was home safe still though.

Finaly we've got our Interview date... we're set up for January 29th in Frankfurt, Germany.

Since I was impatient as usual I wrote an email to the consulate asking for the date... they replied within an hour and sent me the date!

YESSSSS! :-))))

To all others still waiting,... I cross my fingers that VSC and CSC start speeding up the process for all of you!!!

i'm actually kinda worried....I still don't have the financial stuff here even though I mailed back checklist. We have had to change sponsor las minute due to a redundancy. Back up sponsor stepped up to the plate just waiting on him getting stuff to me ASAP. This sponsor has more income and looks more solid on paper, just he's a friend of the family rather than a family member. Hope this wont cause problems

I'm at that horrible missing Jeremy stage - I hate the leaving and coming and going all the time - once we are apart I cope better (or if we are together obviously) but other than that grr!!! Still feel like I have so many fiddly things to do!! Need to do stuff!! Will try and get organised over the weekend

I know what you mean. That first few days after I have to leave my Jeremy I miss him soo much it's unbearable. Then I get back into the daily routine and we're back to the phone & computer communication for a while and it gets better (never good enough tho).

At least now you have the excitement of your interview to prepare for .

I am overnighting my stuff to Griff tomorrow since we weren't expecting such a quick interview date! I thought I would hand deliver the stuff on Jan. 19th, when I'm over for a visit! Thankfully, I have all the docs together!

Haha! You have a Jeremy too!! I'll feel better when he is home safe but he is going to be so busy trying to sort wedding things out and working - I don't know how much time we will get "together".
