hey all, I hope everyone is enjoying their pre-holidays. Im going to have to pack in another day or 2 because Im going to spend the holidays(including new years) with my lady. I just wanted to let you all know the nvc got our case on the 6th and it was sent out the next day, I dont know yet what day the embassy recieved it but my fiance called and let me know she got the packet 3 in the mail today she said shes kinda stressed cause its so many forms to fill out so I told her we'll do them together over the phone. But thats where we stand right now.

p.s. as part of proof of support: does anyone know if there has to be a certain amount in my bank account or are they just looking to see if I have a bank account in general? thx

No need to disclose any bank assets or property if you already meet the 125% proverty line. I put "Not Reported" on all lines with monetary value except where it ask for your salary.

are you absolutely sure about not needing a bank statement? I only ask because as far as salary I make well over the 125% poverty line, but Im buying her a car and its christmas season so Ive been spending like a drunk at a strip club and I have another question; Im online talking with my fiance right now and shes reading through the packet, and it list doctors you can go to for the medical exam but she wants to know if she can go to her doctor which is much closer to her, does anyone know if she has to go to a doctor on the list or if she can go to her own.

Should we add a received at NVC column as well again as we have all the others?

I think you'll find she has to go to the doctor on the list - I know we all have to go to London - Debz has to get down from Glasgow and even people in Northern Ireland I believe have to get to London (or is that just for the interview?)

I believe now Ireland is all reunited people in northern Ireland can go to dublin. Pain in the bahookie getting from Glasgow to london!!!! Ach well at least I get to spend the afternnon after my medical hitting the january sales with my mammy....I am sooooo going to harrods (just so I can say I've been)

oh and my mammy just brought me a margarita as she made some for her and my dad....jeeeez it's evil...so strong!!!

ummm.... can I be the voice of dissent? I prefer the spreadsheet in its simple form, without all the extra detail and columns.

She definitely cannot go to her doctor and has to go to one on the list in Packet 3.

Rae and Scott - I agree - I prefer it to be all neat and stuff too but I am sure as we progress (esp if we can get an average day thing from date rec to whatever point) then it will be a useful basis for comparison

On another note I am trying to find a decent hairstyle for my wedding - I want something kinda like loose/messy ringletty curls maybe incorporating flowers - nothing too structured and laquered but quite natural and woodlandy if that makes sense?! I've found a couple pics but they just aren't quite right...

I want something like you're describing too! I also have not found the perfect picture yet either....

Actually, my opinion is that the Packet 3 and 4 dates are really not as important. But if other people feel differently, I will concede.

I would be happy with a margharita or a glass of wine right now.

hahaha. I sit if front of a computer all day long. Often, I have to wait while it processes what I've told it to do, so I am constantly on VJ while I'm working.

unfortunatly now I'm getting the munchies! I can't afford to expand...my wedding dress fits perfect. bad for me though as my biggest weakness is cheese....I love cheese!

I figure if I splurge now and go on big diet post-Christmas then I should be fine - my dress fits perfectly - just needs a couple nips in at the top and that is it so can't afford to put weight on either!!
