OK I did the RFE trick this morning. The lady didn't even ask me about why I punched in the RFE options, it was like she knew I was using the trick just to speak to someone. I guess the RFE trick isn't quite as clever as it once was?

Anyways, she told me its with an officer still, there is no RFE or any problem that she knew of, so it must be in that stack with jeraly. She said just wait a "little bit longer." The officer probably took two weeks off or something...

Yeah wouldn't that be nice to actually get a NOA2 within 6 months of filing. I can't say that I'll be too excited though. Back when we filed she was supposed to BE here by now based on estimates on this site and instead NOTHING has happened all this time. The only reason I'm not losing it is because my girl is telling me to be patient.

Why don't you try calling back and clarifying if you are really in extended review?

I am going to call the USCIS again today. Yesterday was 15 days with no RFE letter. Are they on California time? I hope they can give me some information - I'm dying here!!!

I think I remember reading somewhere on here a few months ago that the beneficiary should have a copy of the original packet that was sent to USCIS - does anyone know if he needs this to take with him to the interview?

I personally don't have a copy of the packet because I didn't realise I needed one - I am just going to gather up as much as I can to take with me and hope for the best...

Thanks for the info DKM - I am sure mine in there with yours and yeah - I bet the guy/gal working on it decided to leave it there while they took extended leave over Christmas and didn't bother to pass it to someone else - as long as they are with their family during the festive season eh?!?

That is probably about the time they loaded ours into the same box, which I confirmed is sitting on someone's desk (that's the best thing to hear short of being approved). Just give me a NOA2 without an RFE and I won't complain that its late, I promise!

I just checked and we have been TOUCHED for the very first time!!! (just like Madaonna ).

No notification of an RFE so I think I can take it to mean they are actually working on my case now?

Anybody who's gotten an RFE, does it show up right when you see that your case was touched or is there some lag time? Don't want to get too hopeful but this is so exciting after so much NOTHING.

I wonder if my phone call to them yesterday has anything to do with it. Maybe extended review means that she found it UNDER the shelves and has dusted it off and handed it to an adjucator lolol. Kidding!
