@debz: i am somehow still hoping that they sent all the approved I129's from european-american-relationships in one shipment to NVC. (allowes me to live in the illusion that we will hear from the embassy soon). my job-contract ends december 21st. i was hoping to hear form the embassy at the end of december, and as waiting times for interviews in frankfurt are abt. 3-4 weeks, I was hoping to be with Eric at the end of January/beginning of febuary. so i will be abt as broke as it gets.

plus: the wedding is coming up and all the planning is driving me NUTS. i have basically NOBODY to help me (how stupid was I to not have BM's???????) and i feel as if i am drowning.

i should try to sell a bunch of my stuff on ebay as well. i hate giving away MY stuff though.... i mean, it is MY stuff, MY life!! i don't want to pretend as if i didn't have a life until i moved to the US. you know what i mean?

I really admire you guys who spend so long apart - I know STP went nine months and that would have killed me at the beginning of all this. I've mellowed a lot - I know it is pretty much out of my hands now so I have become very calm about it all (very disturbing - have autistic tendencies and freak out about pretty much anything so being calm is a novelty ).

I think it has been about four months or so since I saw Jeremy but who's counting!? I've become really weird about it all - doesn't matter if I know how long it has been - isn't going to get him to me any quicker. We are spending our first Christmas together this year - he's over next week so will be going a bit quiet then (hoping I get NOA2 before he arrives!) but then we won't see each other 'til Feb for our wedding. After that who knows!? Prolly won't be until end of June which is when I am expecting this whole thing to be over and I can go live there! Mum is 50 at the end of June and I want to be here for that

Tucson I know what you mean about the stuff thing It is why I am not getting rid of anything at all apart from the obvious (TV, vcr etc) because although I shouldn't be defined by my stuff I feel it is who I am and I would only go buy it all again in the US anyway!!!

I am very very lucky having a wedding planner - it has made life so much easier - I was dubious at first thinking it would be really expensive but it has been so much better than I thought - ceremony, music, minister, venue, car, reception meal, flowers, cake are all sorted and it cost much less than I thought I would highly recommend it although I might suggest to future applicants that they don't get too hopeful on the date!!! We thought seven months would be cutting it fine but ok... *sigh* Owel

wedding wise, not got much left to do. Cake, car, nick and best mans suits, vows to be written and pick bits of music....thats it.

We should defo compare vow notes at some point - I need to write mine but keep procrastinating - keep telling myself I will after Jeremy goes home when i am all loved up again

yeah. it was the same for me. we waited until we were together again. but i can really recommend the "vow-section" on "the knot"

i know. I was think now is probably a really good time to do it. But we going to hopefully have around 6-8 weeks before wedding to write them over there all going to plan. So might wait until then.

It's prolly an idea to jot some ideas down while you are feeling all loved up and missing him though - I wrote some ideas down in LAX at easter and was brought to tears so many times that I noted each phrase or idea that did so

....Somehing I forgot to say in my previous post, is that now I can offiacially set a date!! It's the last week of July...........ok so it's not a date, more of a range but you get the picture.... I can finally take measurements to buy my dress, and my mother is already looking into places for the reception. I'm having my ceremony at the beach; which by the way is FREE in south florida, since the beach is public, and for everyone......etc etc. as long as you don't rope out a specific area you can do just about anything there...

I have this new sense of positivity which is awesome. Ricardo left last Monday and since I'm in finals it's been pretty hard to stay happy, but let me tell you the sense of euphoria that I feel right now is great....anyways just needed to get that out... FELIZ NAVIDAD!!

Defo!! Esp when you consider what it would cost here!!

On another note: I get these every day - I've signed up to the newsletter - something I rarely do on websites. I signed up last year when I was in the US for two months. I was very bored and these stories always gave me something to laugh/cry/smile about and gave me hope about the world we live in

I'm not a religious person although a few of the stories have religious leanings but I love them. I can't make time to read them every day but I read them all on the weekend now and save the ones I like

They aren't sad - they are just nice stories from real people and they make you think I love them Some of them I don't get but then I guess you get that with anything
