Heh - in the same box would be cool - STP and me can go to interview at the same time!!! Hopefully not gathering dust though...

My dress is very beautiful - I was saying to my dressmaker that I am so happy that I have it and I still love it - I am sure some people change their minds because they have to be bought so far in advance!!

Debz thanks so much for the spreadsheet once again :) I can try to keep updates going if you want to drop off the radar for a bit so let me know and I will try and make a big notice for people to PM me until further notice :)

*hugs to everyone*

Any more news today? I guess it is still pretty early-ish there so... maybe not.. :/

Hey there. Now that we are approved and Rama is getting his police report and immun record while awaiting his packets....I have a question. I am getting a letter from my employer and notorizing the I-134 to send to him by DHL. Is that all that I need to submit with the I-134? I have read that paystubs and tax returns are not necessary at this step, but rather when we apply for status change after he gets to the US God Willing. Does this sound about right to you all? Thanks!

These days are bright! :)

It is my understanding that you want to send paystubs, tax returns with to the interview! at least I have heard that London has been really picky about seeing these at the interview. I wouldn't leave anything to chance and send it all to the interview and then keep it all for the AOS process.

Just my 2 cents!

Got a question you maybe able to answer, how do you call to inquire about a pending application at CSC? All I get is automated answering is there a way around it to get to a live person??? I appreciate your help.

Thanks,

From the directions:

II. Supporting Evidence.

As the sponsor, you must show you have sufficient incomeand/or financial resources to assure that the alien you aresponsoring will not become a public charge while in theUnited States.

Evidence should consist of copies of any or all of thefollowing documentation listed below that are applicable toyour situation.

Failure to provide evidence of sufficient income and/orfinancial resources may result in the denial of the alien'sapplication for a visa or his or her removal from the UnitedStates.

The sponsor must submit in duplicate evidence of incomeand resources, as appropriate:

A. Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institutions where you have deposits, identifying the following details regarding your account:

1. Date account opened;

2. Total amount deposited for the past year;

3. Present balance.

B. Statement of your employer on business stationery,revealing:

1. Date and nature of employment;

2. Salary paid;

3. Whether the position is temporary or permanent.

C. If self-employed:

1. Copy of last income tax return filed; or

2. Report of commercial rating concern.

D. List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s).

From this it says ANY or ALL... So it is up to you how much information to send.

You can never sent too much. Make note however that pay stubs are not included in the list and your income tax return is only required if you are self employed.

Personally I went with option B as it was the easiest to obtain. My HR person is right down the hall from me and my bank only keeps 6 months worth of transations in their computers. Anything further back needs to goto their research department and can take a while. Thou, I was never given a timeframe.

If you have any other questions about how much you need to make to qualify without additional income or a co-sponsor ask and I can answer. This was one of the things I researched extensively.

Still no NOA2 for me.. Why can't Charry and I play red rover?? :crying:

Okay, serious tone now:

I am surprised the directions you quote don't say to include the last 3 years of taxes in one is self-employed. I've read it elsewhere; plus I am self-employed, and that is what my lawyer had me do.

Just a detail.

The forms instructions do not request it.. The oldest record I can find saying you need 3 years is a post on VJ from 2003

You do not need 3 years of income tax returns unless you are self

employed, or unless your foreign fiance(e) is applying for the visa at

one of the consulates that has a local policy of requiring 3 years of

tax returns.

But still the form itself does not state you need 3 years history..

The same post points out that requesting your past 3 years of tax transccripts is free and directs you to this page http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq1-6.html

If you go there you can either fill out a form and mail it in or contact the IRS at a phone number and get the last 3 years of transcripts for free within 10 days, its a quick enough process that I don't see it hurting.

Now that I'm looking at this I may hold off on sending the i-134 until I can get my records. as I said, too much information can't hurt.

Oh, one more thing.

According to my lawyer you only have to provide your anual income nothing more nothing less..

The only exception to this is if your anual income is below the poverty level for the size of your household.

If you are below the poverty level then you have to show that you have other assets totaling 5 times the difference between your income and the poverty level. If you need further clarification I can provide it.

Either way, I agree, more info can't hurt.
