How long to get a letter?

I hope the letter comes soon, but I imagine that even if it arrives tomorrow it is going to feel like it took ages.

Wish I could say something to make you feel better....but I know I'll flip if we get an RFE....and I'll probably flip again when I find out it is something simple and stupid! Near to 5 months of waiting and you're already antsy....getting an REF now just stinks!

a-jeanne - I am so sorry. I can't imagine the stress you must be feeling. I am sure its something simple and will get straightened out quickly. the letter will probably come before 15 days - they always give long estimates to cover their behinds. at least once you know what's missing and get it back to them it is my understanding that they process it right away. have faith girl - an a glass of wine!

I am with Debz and still waiting for my petition to get to NVC. today is 2 weeks since the approval so I know it could still be a bit. I just check with NVC every day or two anyway because it can't hurt! Just hoping the day that they say 'we do have your petition and it has been forwarded to the embassy' comes soon!!!!

@ jeanne: i'm sorry, i can imagine how much that sucks!

@ deb & sara: they only waited for a few more europeans to get approved and they will send it to NVC monday :) (POSITIVE THOUGHTS)

or, they send them twice a month, meaning monday would be day, too :dance:

People how do you use the RFE trick, even this USCIS rep guy I spoke with told me they do not have the capability to transfer anyone to service center which I told him its untrue, but if this RFE trick has worked for you just let me know how ya did it. Want to hear something substantial or concrete or maybe a touch on my case since I 'm filing as a divorced petitioner. I 'm kinda concern that this might be slowing my case down

Wow, a lot of action yesterday! It Kind of scared me, but I just screwed up the courage to check USCIS.....and yup, I found good old July 26

Is that the date you see when you log in? or the date you see when you click on your case number? If it is the former then I have the exact same date

A-jeanne - it will be ok - it is hard to think that right now but it will all work out ok - I am sure it is something really simple that can be easily rectified

We have been following this thread for the last few moths while patiently waiting for the USCIS to make a decision about our case. We have not made any posts here, but we have appreciated reading everyone's stories and updates knowing that others are expereincing the same feelings. We unfortunately did not find this web site until after submittiing our K1 application back in July, and we were concerned that we may receive an RFE. Well, on my birthday, we found out that our petition was approved Thank you USCIS for the best birthday present ever! The first step in the long journey has now been completed. We would like to express our gratitude to all the members who have shared their stories and experiences. You have made the journey more bearable. Will hopefully get back on VJ later but puter/internet being really evil - Jeremy has managed to do something to let me use IE to get on but I need to reboot and see how things go

Should I get excited that my VJ date has been steadily moving in a good direction? Or is it a fluke, do you think? Now I'm at "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated as early as December 14, 2007"
