I am watching closely as well. They received our case on the 16 July, nothing has been added ever since. No touch either. Shall i start panicking or wait a little longer?

No, no, don't panic! I think it's a bit early for that. I mean, lots of people have waited over 5 months, some even over 6, and we are at 4 1/2. I'd say reserve the panic for over the 6-month mark. We're looking pretty good (considering...). I mean, yeah, back in July when we filed and the average was 3 months, that certainly would have been better... but I think we're looking at getting an approval pretty soon. I actually feel like it will happen before my PAD of Dec 17 (which I see is the same as yours).

I hate 07/22/07.

Hate it!! :ranting:

Ok guys, I just had the most bizarre conversation with USCIS ever! I called the customer service line just a minute ago to find out if our case had been forwarded to NVC yet - yes I know it was probably pointless, but I need to do something....I hate waiting! anyway I got through to a customer service representative who told me that once the K1 petition is approved it gets forwarded onto the State Department for another screening, they then have the right to request more inquiry and if more is needed its sent back to USCIS. (luckily mine was not sent back according to her records) and then she said that is is sent onto the embassy. I was like, no I believe it goes to NVC for a new case number and they forward it to the embassy. She told me to hang on for a minute, I could hear her clicking away on the computer and she starts asking me a million form questions about my and my fiance, am I a US citizen intending to marry a foreign fiance, are we both free to marry, where is my fiance now, are there any children involved, are we intending to marry within 90 days of entry, etc etc etc.....totally weird. then she says she has looked up the processing guidelines for the I129F Petition for Fiance and tells me that it is not in the processing guidelines for these cases to be sent to the NVC, rather after they are cleared and do not need any further security checks or processing they are sent straight from the servicing center to the corresponding embassy.....#######????? I asked her is she was sure this is how it works, she said yes. I asked her if this was a new policy she said no. She then recommended I call the London Embassy to inquire if they had received it yet because there is no way for her to have further information on its whereabouts once it is approved and has left there system.......once again #######??? so I said, alright worse case scenario it does not show up at NVC or the embassy, like ever, how is it tracked and found and she said they have no way of tracking them once they are approved and are done with the servicing center.

I say once again #######?????

I am sure she is wrong, but my head is spinning a little!:blink:

 I have a theory that USCIS sits around thinking of ways to screw with us. They're sitting there in their little cubicles thinking... "well, the public seems to have finally figured us out, so let's throw them another curve ball"...

I can give you no explanation for what they've told you... My first thought after reading this was - Are you sure you called USCIS?! And I'm sure you know what you're doing, so .... this person has got to be wrong, or severly confused. This is an incredibly good example of the customer service that USCIS provides. If I were you, I'd find the Ombudsman's email address and send him what you've just written here. Just to give him a good idea of what kind of help USCIS provides!

It is way too early to even think about scheduling your panic attack. ;)

Remember that in addition to working on July petitions, VSC is still processing June petitions as well as some stragglers from April and May.

Of the 64 VSC VJ petitions sent during June, only 35 (55%) have been approved.

Of the 25 VSC VJ petitions sent during the first half of July, only 7 (28%) have been approved.

Of the 79 (yikes) VSC VJ petitions that were sent the second half of July, only 3 (4%) have been approved.

Relax folks. We are making progress but this is going to take a while. By all means hope that your petition will be the next one approved. It just might happen. But do not panic if you do not see your approval in the next few weeks. You will have lots of company.

All I will say is that everyone should do thorough follow up. I had filed I- 130 before and got missing after being approved between USCIS & NVC, no trace whatsoever , I called USCIS and NVC many times, wrote senators but they still wont come up with my application . NVC didnt get it and USCIS didnt have it, this went on for almost 2 year and I finally had to file I-864 cost me some ($$$) before they could do something. My whole point is dont wait till you hear from NVC just keep tracking 'cos I waited since they told me to wait that it would get to NVC but never did. A lot of this customer service dont know much about immigration issue they just go by what pops up on their screen. Just my 2 cents.

Hey All. Sorry for the radio silence here, I've just found it best for me to try and focus my mind on other things while we wait for all of these processes to occur.............

Anyway, I did want to give you the good news that today I received the notification e-mail from USCIS for Jovy's I-129F (filed with VSC). I was thinking as usual when I logged into e-mail that there's no way there would be anything in there, but alas I couldn't believe my eyes!! Yesterday my VJ timeline said we could be adjudicated as early mid December I think, so a great surprise. Hang in there everyone and good luck with your individual processes. Now Im gonna hurry up and start waiting for the local embassy processes to get complete so we can be together next year.

07-09-07 - Sent I-129F package via express mail to VSC

07-11-07 - USPS Express mail delivery confirmed at VSC

07-12-07 - Date of NOA1 (per case status search on USCIS web site)
