I just found out that our petition left the NVC for the Embassy on 23rd November. Things seem to move very fast after NOA2.

Holy cow that's fast! now I am motivated to call and see if mine is sent! not likely being CSC, but worth a shot! I am so hoping for a January Interview......anytime in January!!!!

I am just returning from 8 glorious days with Matt and trying to recover from jet lag! which of course I would take anytime if it means spending time with my Fiance! So now I have been catching up of pages and pages of reading here and the other threads. Woooooo big happenings! Congrats to all the July Filers getting approved    and still sending the good NOA2 Juju to everyone patiently waiting.

So, glad to be caught up with everyone and can't wait til we are all past the NOA2 stage and can fret together about the interviews and packet 3's and medicals!!!! I love the support here :) Oh and to those still waiting I wanted to chime in for those who were asking how notification happens that I did not receive the CRIS email, just saw the approval online and then got the hardcopy in the mail.

You know, when I saw all the wedding posts I thought "oh damn, here we go again." But now that we are talking about boobs, I am enthused. :dancing: I am particulary eager to see the pics of the deep cherry red ones. I don't think I have ever seen that before!

..... I have huge boobs so :P) They are in a deep cherry red - not sure if I posted a pic... lemme see...

Or did I misunderstand?

;)

Yes - my boobs are a deep cherry red... I am very proud of them

Debz - I think StillThePrettiest posted this somewhere before but with my genius moment of foresight I bookmarked it:

how did you find out...I wanna know where mine is

Here are the steps for monitoring your package after the NOA2. I stole them from Scott n Yenifer on the Colombia Club Forum.

1. Once your I-129F is approved (NOA2), your case will

be forwarded to the National Visa Center. Normally

it will take about 1 to 2 weeks to get from CSC/VSC to NVC. (Note: VSC is frequently much faster than this and CSC is sometimes much slower.)

2. Start calling NVC everyday about 1 week after

your I-129F has been approved at: 603-334-0700

press 1 then 2. You will need to reach

a live person to get information on your case since

the NVC’s automated system does not handle K1 visas.

Give this person your receipt #, they will let you know

the status of your case, whether it has not yet been

received, already received, or already sent out to

the embassy. Once NVC receives your case, they

will assign a new case # that will begin with BGTXXXXXXXXXX.

A. If it has not been received.

Keep calling until they receive it. Don’t pay attention

to their script. They will tell you it may take 4 weeks

for them to receive your case.

B. If your case has been received.

Ask them when it was received and if it has been forwarded

to the embassy. If your case has been received but not

forwarded, wait 2 to 3 days from the day NVC received it

to call back and ask again. If it has been forwarded, most

often than not cases will be sent out in 2 days after NVC

receives it.

C. Once you know when your case has left NVC to the embassy you

can now calculate when it should arrive via DHL. It should not take very long but you can go to the DHL website and probably get an estimated transit time from the US to the city where the embassy is located. I think the petitions are shipped to the embassy from a NVC office in New Hampshire but I am not 100% sure of that. Your case will also arrive electronically from NVC to the embassy.

I hope that helps. :)

This is EXTREMELY helpful. Thanks, Bill!

Also good to know we can get the info by emailing them... I am so bad at calling things like this, but I'm usually glued to a computer. ;)

Just as a note to your information, in #2 the case number is said to start with BGT.... That will not be the case unless you will be going to the Bogota embassy. Sorry to correct, I just wanted to clarify.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

Try this number. 202-663-1225. It is for the state department and they have access to the same information as NVC. Apparently they will also not kick you out of the system when they are busy. I did hear someone say that when you are on hold there is no music or anything to let you know that you are still connected. Just keep holding and they will come back eventually.

Good luck!
