I really truly am happy to see July people getting NOA2s... but all but one of them are from CSC.

I want VSC to catch up damnit!

There are other July people from VSC who have gotten their NOA2s like Susie, Roguewave, etc. but for some reason Debz doesnt include them....sad.

Everyone wants the list to be as accurate as possible. Perhaps you could help out by collecting the missing information and sending a PM to weedebz? :)

Not really. Debz has repeatedly requested that members PM her with updates. Its not her responsibility to go mucking through every thread looking for approval announcements. So if those that you mentioned would send Debz a PM, I am confident that she will update them on the spreadsheet. Finally, lets not lose sight of the fact that Debz is maintaing the spreadsheet as a courtesy to us July filers. Please, give her a break.

Whoa! You need to calm down. I wasnt being rude. No need to be the guard dog and start telling me off. I was simply stating what I see. And if you didnt notice I even said what she was doing was great, and it IS. In no way did I mean any harm. I thought my wording would simply prompt a bit of research, that's all. I mean, if you're going to do a spreadsheet for this, then it would be only right to do it accurately...no?? People usually share their good news about their approvals, so its not like its a whole lot of "mucking" around. It seems perhaps there's a bit of bias because maybe she doesn't pay as much attention to VSC filers. If that's the case, then why include them?

Lol!!!

Ok - Jeremy is hopefully going to be calling CSC on Monday so any ideas what to say/ask? Oh and the number would be helpful too if anyone knows it!!!

How about "oops, wrong number - sorry for bothering you ".

...or you could simply explain that because you have plans your K1 petition is much more important than all those that are ahead of you and waiting patiently.

No need to be so nasty

Geez - all we want is to find out if anything is happening not demand they approve our petition now - calm down! I promise I won't jump the queue on purpose - not even to be spiteful!

all true, but even more to the point: Jeraly was talking about asking for information; AT NO POINT did she say she was going to try to get her petition expedited, for ANY reason

so perhaps we could stick with the facts and not start with suppositions? :)

*has some suppositions of her own but FAR too polite to mention them :innocent: *

Aly: (sorry for speaking for the masses) As far as I'm concerned MOST of us are behind you! We are behind each other and here to support each other.

"it's me dave": sorry but you picked probably one of the closest, most well bonded threads to say something so unbelievably heartless (and stupid) in. If you are happy in your situation being apart from your loved one you should probably question that love. If you are not happy well......I hope you have a happy outcome as no one deserves to be put down for persuing happyness.....whatever it takes!!! (as long as it's legal of course!) As much as all of us somewhere inside would love to skip the queue, we wouldn't feel right knowing it was at the expense of someone else (legit expedites excepted)

...... And if people bothered to read beyond a single post rather than jumping down someone's throat then they might understand that people often have specific circumstances.

Knowing what I know there are a few people on these boards I would gladly let ahead of me.

Most certainly - there are plenty of people I know who I would choose to go ahead of me in the queue as it were :DI don't want special treatment - I know we perhaps weren't all that wise in the beginning but then I expect that only a few of us were. Maybe we jumped the gun?! Who knows?!

Defo!!! NOA2 is where it's at though!! Can we request an expedite to NVC? How would that work? Does Jeremy just need to contact his congressman?

I do read beyond single posts, more so than others it seems.

I noticed only Weedebz gave her advice on what to say. " I understand the issues from your side but I'm sure you can understand the difficulties we face. All I'm looking for is information on when we can expect our file to be adjudicated as our wedding is imminant and it's become so much of a worry?"

Mine still stands as the second most 'supportive' response.

I think there is a bit of dishonesty in some of these posts. Of course, she would be attempting to get her petition moved along by calling USCIS. Due to her situation I don't blame her. She has asked for advice on what to say. Little advice was given. Maybe she will let them know about the "people I know who I would choose to go ahead of me in the queue as it were". I doubt it though. So let's be real. Everyone can say 'I would let your petition go before mine'...'no, no ...you first', and such, so that everyone can feel good about their virtual selflessness. The reality is by calling USCIS inquiring about your petition when there is no indication of irregularity in your case you are unnecessarily taking up resources that could be better spent helping others who appear to have been passed up or otherwise aggrieved in the process.

Along the same line, I can only imagine that those who use the 'RFE trick' make it more difficult for petitioners trying to get help with an actual RFE's. I don't like to see members encouraging it.

My apologies to Jeraly for using you as an example. I'm not trying to pick on you. I wish you the best of luck and hope you get approved prior to your wedding. I would even let you ahead of me, if I was in front of you, if I could . ;)

hmm, deja vu

Jason, I don't think anyone's mad at you, but you could have just ASKED for the reason and then waited for the answer, that's all :)

and don't forget, people are constantly asking why they're not on the spreadsheet, often straight after a post by debz in huge letters asking them to PM her with updates, so you can see why people are a little tired of it ;)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

I understand. And I'm sorry if I started a fuss. But I just did a quick search of July filers from VSC for the month of July who have received their approvals. And within a second I got 6 results. It wasn't difficult. I just never understood providing a service of any sort and not doing it thoroughly. Even if it is voluntarily. Sorry, I guess I'm just ####### that way... . the timeline search feature is really a great tool and its pretty easy to use.

Dave - If you read what you highlighted in Jeraly's post you will note that she asked if whe could the petition expedited to the NVC, NOT to get an expedited NOA2. There is a difference. And given her set of circumstances, I believe it is entirely reasonable for her to ask if its possible. Given that its taking 3 to 6 weeks for CSC petitions to make it to NVC, it will make a big difference for her getting to the consulate quicker so that she can hopefully get a quick interview. We're all frustrated by this long wait, but you need to lighten up a bit.

Yes, I noticed that. The point I am making still stands wether you are talking about expedited NOA2 processing or expedited delivery to NVC. Either would be, in effect, requesting special attention.

and, like pretty much everything in this life, there are ways of putting that

the tempered, even tone of your posts this evening is quite different to the original post that people responded to; whether you meant to or not, you came across as rude; THAT's what people objected to

Jason, perhaps you could help me find out which of the April and May filers on the CSC list are still active... they're clogging up my nice neat list, and I, too, am ####### that way ;)

jason-sasha - trust me I am not ignoring VSC filers, I am not biased in ANY way. It is purely down to the fact that none of them have PM'd me and I've obviously missed them. I'd love nothing more than to fill in more of the spaces, CSC or VSC. Sorry for any folk I've missed from either service centre. Sorry if my work not up to standard!

I'll finish this post as I do nearly every other post* PLEASE PM ME WITH UPDATES AND I'LL UPDATE SPREADSHEET.

*please note this is purely an estimation and please do not shout at me if figure slightly incorrect. :crying:

Dear "its me dave"

We get it, you made your point....please understand that others do not necessarily agree with you....AND LEAVE IT.....posting multiple times is out of order!

And being that you're at a different service center and embassy to the member in question, I can't see how any thing they choose to do effects you in any way.

07/16/07 posted I-129f

07/20/07 confirmed delivered by US Postal Service

8/23/07 No NOA1 !!!!

8/23/07 phoned USCIS (told they can't help until after 90 days)

8/23/07 contacted bank to get copy of Cx check...illegable...noc WAC#

tried for weeks to get actual check....not possible, had to wait the 90 days for info from USCIS

10/17/07 Phoned USCIS, got thru (!), got WAC number and NOA1 date!!!!

07/26/07 NOA1 (never recieved hard copy, was promised a copy would be sent)

11/01/07 Ordered copy of "long form" UK B.C.

11/05/07 Recieved B.C. (Wish USCIS was that fast!)

11/09/07 Submitted request for UK police records

12/04/07 APPROVED By USCIS NOA2 letter sent (or so they claim)

12/15/07 Police certificate recieved

12/28/07 Called NVC, not in system

01/04/08 petition forwarded to London

01/12/08 packet 3 received *rubs eye in disbelief* Speed and efficiency, can it be?

01/18/08 HARD COPY OF NOA2 ARRIVED...seems the snail made a wrong turn somewhere.

01/28/08 Returned packet 3 to London Embassy

02/12/08 Medical completed...no problem.

02/13/08 Packet 4 received from London Embassy

03/03/08 Embassy Interview

03/06/08 Visa Arrived....Lovely to finally see it even if it is a bit drab...after 8 month you think they'd have sprung for some gold foil or at least a COLOR photo?

TODAY...he's here! He's in the US! Hurrah!

oh and I do add people who haven't PM'd me if I stumble across post. LisaD being example. yes she is CSC but that purely coincidental don't hurt me! *quakes in her booties*

If it's people that have not even added names sometimes I feel odd just adding them to a spreadsheet that they have not asked to be added to that's not offically VJ as they may not want information used externally......used to work in data protection (see I can be ####### too)
