Hi Gill,

I haven't got any email notification from USCIS. So I didn't notice till I checked the online status site.

I thought the email notice was supposed to get when my status was changed or updated, though.

But as long as the website says we are approved, so I think it should be OK.

I hope it helps.

I am glad it helps, and I was same feeling as you till I got the approval. But I am sure you will get the approval soon.

I think about this several times per day. Always wondering if they could update the USCIS site without sending me an email. Hence, making me check that damn site 10 times a day! Haha! I think alot of people get approved and only find out by actually opening their case when it appears to have been touched. Then they surprisingly see that its been approved. Then again, there are probably plenty that find out via CRIS email notification.

22 Jun 05 - We met in a tiny bar in Williamsburg, Va. (spent all summer together)

27 May 06 - Sasha comes back for a 2nd glorious summer (spent 8 months apart)

01 Jan 07 - Jason travels to Moscow for 2 weeks with Sasha

27 May 07 - Jason again travels to Moscow for 2 weeks of perfection

14 July 07 - I-129F and all related documents sent to VSC

16 July 07 - I-129F delivered to VSC and signed for by P. Novak

20 July 07 - NOA1 issued / receipt number assigned

27 Sep 07 - Jason travels to Moscow to be with Sasha for 2 weeks

28 Nov 07 - NOA2 issued...TOUCHED!...then...APPROVED!!!

01 Dec 07 - NVC receives/assigns case #

04 Dec 07 - NVC sends case to U.S. Embassy Moscow

26 Dec 07 - Jason visits Sasha in Russia for the 4th and final time of 2007 :)

22 Feb 08 - Moscow Interview! (APPROVED!!!)..Yay!

24 Mar 08 - Sasha and Jason reunite in the U.S. :)

31 May 08 - Married

29 Dec 08- Alexander is born

11 Jan 10 - AOS / AP / EAD package sent

19 Jan 10 - AOS NOA1 / AP NOA1 / EAD NOA1

08 Feb 10 - AOS case transferred to CSC

16 Mar 10 - AP received

16 Mar 10 - AOS approved

we didn't include my birth certificate in the package either... partly because it wasn't asked for, and partly because I didn't have it :lol:

(I have it now - got my mum to bring it with her from Aus when she came in October, so we're all set for later, or for any RFEs)

I would hope - perhaps showing a little more belief in USCIS's logic than is warranted, but then, I've always been naive ;) - that RFEs for birth certificates are for clarification of SPECIFIC cases, say when they've encountered a problem or some confusion in the name checks, or something... certainly it doesn't seem as if they're sending them as standard

I'm not going to worry about it until it happens :)

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Hi Gill,

Yes, we got an email from CRIS. They sent the email out on Monday morning but it said that we had been approved on the Saturday before. So I'm guessing that adjudicators are working overtime at weekends but the 'system' sends emails out in batches during normal working hours.

A quick question for you guys... Did any of you include a copy of the beneficiary's birth certificate in the petition package? It seems like some people are getting RFEs for it. :unsure:

Even though it's not on the list of required documents, I really wish Will and I had included a copy of mine in now... :(

I did when I submitted mine. I went through the RFE thread to see what others were getting RFE on and didn't leave anything out.

17th March 2010 - Started the removal of conditions process

22nd March 2010 - Application received by CSC

30th April 2010 - Biometrics appointment

Yaaayyy!!! I didn't get any e-mail today, but because of this post, I checked up on the USCIS website and....

Approved!!!

Now just waiting for the official letter!

07/20/07 confirmed delivered by US Postal Service

8/23/07 No NOA1 !!!!

8/23/07 phoned USCIS (told they can't help until after 90 days)

8/23/07 contacted bank to get copy of Cx check...illegable...noc WAC#

tried for weeks to get actual check....not possible, had to wait the 90 days for info from USCIS

10/17/07 Phoned USCIS, got thru (!), got WAC number and NOA1 date!!!!

07/26/07 NOA1 (never recieved hard copy, was promised a copy would be sent)

11/01/07 Ordered copy of "long form" UK B.C.

11/05/07 Recieved B.C. (Wish USCIS was that fast!)

11/09/07 Submitted request for UK police records

12/04/07 APPROVED By USCIS NOA2 letter sent (or so they claim)

12/15/07 Police certificate recieved

12/28/07 Called NVC, not in system

01/04/08 petition forwarded to London

01/12/08 packet 3 received *rubs eye in disbelief* Speed and efficiency, can it be?

01/18/08 HARD COPY OF NOA2 ARRIVED...seems the snail made a wrong turn somewhere.

02/12/08 Medical completed...no problem.

02/13/08 Packet 4 received from London Embassy

03/03/08 Embassy Interview

03/06/08 Visa Arrived....Lovely to finally see it even if it is a bit drab...after 8 month you think they'd have sprung for some gold foil or at least a COLOR photo?
