Haha - I've been running around - I can't wait til I have a house to get up together - it's just my little room at the moment though and it is a state because it is fit to bursting with all my stuff!!! Will be nice to sort out the wheat from the chaff when I move - have started going through things already :)

oh, I can't wait to have our little house too... I even know what ours looks like (though there's a tenant in there til I can arrive) so I'm trying to make plans, and decide which of my stuff is going to come... I have LOADS of furniture, including some gorgeous oak stuff I got here cheap on eBay, with the thinking that I'd sell it when I left, but most of which I really like now and want to keep

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Ok - well I've had a productive day - left a message to book dress fitting for end of month, have ordered shoes (am hoping they are the right ones as they didn't have my size in the shop) and am about to buy my underwear all ready for my dress fitting! Dress is now home with me as well and it is so exciting!! I just need to decide on my hair but that can wait a little and send the fabric swatch for the bridesmaid dresses to my dressmaker, my OH and my wedding planner :)

Just trying to organise guests and everything and give the OH his instructions!!! Lol :D

Well I got my new veil yesterday to replce my mammys which just doesn't go with my dress. Kinda disappointed I wont be wearing my mammys veil but my new one looks great. Still wearing my 1880's tiara and my grans bridal jewellery though. At least my something old and something new taken care of. I'm looking for ivory victorian style boots to wear as my whole outfit very victorian style. Finally found a dress in a style and colour that both me and maid of honour like. Got my flowers sorted (need silk ones as I want lillies but I'm allergic to them), got rings, got ceremony and reception venues, got invites, got photos sorted, need car, cake, nick and his bro's suits and thats about it...not bad considering I've got 6 months to go!

well I'm pretty much planning on selling everything that doesn't fit in 2 suitcases and carry on allowance. Only thing I'm shipping is my guitar which will cost me £60 surface mail!

transferring important files including photos on to laptop and nick taking laptop over with him when he goes back in 3 and half weeks.

It appears that everything is coming together with the moves and the weddings. I have a lot of hope that things are going to go quickly from here on out. I really believe that.

I have been in this house for almost a year and have everything that I need, except for Phil that is. Phil brought quite a lot of stuff with him the last two times, like his computers and bikes. He has left pretty much all of his clothes here too. It really feels like he is here with me - it sure helps me to have his things here.

I just received a text from him that the fireworks are about to start. I hope everyone in the UK is enjoying the celebration.

Nick just pointed out something I need to do before I go over there. I have a fairly large selection (23bottle of varying states of emptiness) of fine and rare single malt scottish whiskys. I do like my whisky. I have bottles of bowmore 10year old claret cask worth about £25 right up to my bottle of 1981 port ellen (the youngest you can get now as distillery bulldozed in 1984) that bottle worth £190. I need to decide what to drink, what to donate to my dad and various friends who will actually appriciate it rather than just drink it and which of my unopened bottles to sell (most open though as I don't by whisky to look at I buy it to drink, obviously some are for special occasions only) So tonight I'm sitting here with a wee dram of 17yr old Bruichladdich. I'm even part of a 5 person syndicate who invested in a full cask 2 years ago at a new Islay distillery who are producing everything the traditionally. When it's 10 years old we can either get it bottled or pay £10 a year storage and bottle it when we want. We more or less certain to at least triple our money in 15 years.

One thing for sure, I think the 1981 port ellen will be suitable for NOA2 celebration. Only had 1 dram out of that so far and that was 6 years ago for my art school graduation when my dad bought it for me.

depends...if it's just generic stuff like whyte & mackay or famous grouse then by all means mix it with coke...only way to make it taste half decent. But if you mixing single malts or finer blends....oooooooooooooooo that should be punishable by severe torture. I went to a whisky taster a year ago and one of the guides was so impressed with my taste and palate I got offered a job as a taster/blender with gordon macphail....only reason I didn't take it as couldn't get there without driving from where I live.....obvious part of the job was drinking whisky so driving was out of the question. You don't drink that much on the job but I refuse to even sniff alcohol if I'm driving. My dad still intoduces me to people as his daughter the (potential) whisky blender.

Hate to change the subject... but... I wrote to my senators and congressmen and finally had a reply today... A letter in the mail from my senator's assistant asking for me to call him to discuss the letter I sent. Now I've got their attention; what do I say? Normally I've got no troubles explaining our situation (and then I usually find I get pretty worked up about it all), but I've never had the chance to talk to someone who could actually help. Any ideas as to what to say? What would you tell YOUR senator, if asked about all this?

I would just be honest about how you feel and explain why this process taking so long.. make sure you tell it in a way that catches his sympathy for you. I think you still have to wait though since you're just over the minimum wait time of 3months, which is the normal processing wait to receive NOA2, and thats prior to the immigration hike fees. Most people here average a wait time of 130days give or take 10 days, and that right there shows a waiting period of 4 months (120 days) to 5 months (150 days) from filing your petition.

I just got my NOA2 which gave me a waiting time of about 139 days, thats considering I sent my petition before the immigration hike fees. I just finish wriitng to my congress representative here last week via email but I didnt get any response from her, only to see though that my NOA2 was approved in less than a week after sending my email. I dont know if she had replied or followed up on my petition.

Those are my two cents, so Good Luck!!
