My perkiness is starting to wear off. I spoke to Phil this morning but since he has sold his house, he has no broadband connection where he is staying. By next weekend we will be able to Skype again. He has sold off both of his cars and is just waiting to hear the good word. He said that he will be on the first plane home. He has given his notice at work that he is retiring in January - so hurry up Visa...

CONGRATULATIONS!

:o Are you still awake???:lol:

Yep - having a bit of wine for the Friday evening...Taking a bit longer to wind down tonight. All of the approvals coming up now have me on the edge of my seat.

HAHA, me too!!! just debating another glass!!!

Me too, I hope none of us get RFE, we have served our time at USCIS hell, but some will, lets not forget them and support them/ eachother. Good luck to all, we are strangers but share a test/ suffering together. Most of us will move past this, marry be happy, have families, the most important things in life.

This process has to change.

It probably will after they get through our July petitions. We were the ones that backlogged the system with their increase - not to mention other happenings before. But it looks as though there are not as many petitions after the July rush.

Griff took early retirement thinking we'd be done weel before this and with no anticipation that he couldn't just fly to an from the UK as he pleased. He started to get bored and took a job just to keep busy whilst waiting. Hopefully he'll be here sooner than later, but at this point we're trying to be ultra-realisting and think it will likely be that he's home by some time in March. I hope its not longer than that!

I am still hoping for end of January or February. PLEASE don't let it be longer than that. Now, if I recall, Griff is older? Like my Phil is? He can't fly to and from the UK as he pleases? Phil has and has made many trips back and forth with no problems. When did you see him last?

The problem we ran into is that Griff did his early retirement in Sept 2006. He also had three nearly 90 day stays her from July 2006 through July 2007, so when he came to the US in May this year, they let him in but said not to come back until he had a visa, or they would most likely turn him away.

I last saw him in Oct, when we had a long weekend in Canada and will see him next on 19 Jan, when my youngest and I will visit him in the UK for a week.

January or Feb. would be great but I am counting on nothing!

I dont believe that as it has taken May/ June filiers a very long time get theirs as well, I think it was the H-1B deadline ( which has a higher priority for USCIS as its employer sponsored, not in their eyes just a family thing) coupled with the fee increase.

Ok - well I've had a productive day - left a message to book dress fitting for end of month, have ordered shoes (am hoping they are the right ones as they didn't have my size in the shop) and am about to buy my underwear all ready for my dress fitting! Dress is now home with me as well and it is so exciting!! I just need to decide on my hair but that can wait a little and send the fabric swatch for the bridesmaid dresses to my dressmaker, my OH and my wedding planner :)

Just trying to organise guests and everything and give the OH his instructions!!! Lol :D

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Oh that sounds great! Well I was going to be having the evening with my OH but he is working early again so I am going to have a nice night in with my bottle of wine and some Chinese snicker snacks :D

I am in a house cleaning mood. I have rearranged furniture in the dining room, living room (which includes a sectional) my bedroom, have a turkey roast in the oven with potatoes and also made a batch of cookies - and it's only noon. Whew. Now the rest of the day is to relax. RIGHT! I have a 9 and a 7 year old. How much relaxation can I get? NOT! It's a great day - one day closer to Phil. I just have to keep busy.....
