Our summer average is 24C and I find that HOT!!! mind you come winter whilst everyone else shivering I'll be in my spring wardrobe........not looking forward to those midwest tornados though...nick's family nearly died laughing when they said they get tornados and I came out with ...."as in toto I don't think we are in Kansas anymore!". Better get used to Fahrenheit. ;) Vegas is fun! I went this past June and it was 108 degrees. If there were a little melty emoticon it would be used here.

when it come to degrees F I know that it reached 100F during my visit in july 2006...I was as much use as a chocolate fireguard! I needed a constant supply of iced water/tea (us scots like our tea) and between 11am and 2pm I refused to leave any air conditioning!!!! See as a scot I don't tan...I LOOK at the sun and start glowing scarlet!!!! I don't do over 80F absolute max!!!! Here for most of the year the sun is a myth...it's a strange ball of fire in the sky that is going to kill us all!

87days since I sent my fiance sent our petition to CSC. Come on USCIS. Speed up. I read the comments from May filers. Some of folks got RFE for really odd reasons. I feel really bad for them. I wonder why USCIS generates RFE for crazy reasons and it is unfair that some people have a lot of evidence and get RFE and others just met each other once and do not even get RFE;(

I am definately in for a get-together. What a celebration that will be!

Speaking of wine, Phil and I both drink wine. My favorite is a Reisling. We have several wineries in Wisconsin and some of the nicest wines in my opinion. When I went to England in August, I took 4 bottles for the parties that we had and everyone loved it! The wine that I buy from our local winery are between $6 and $8 per bottle. Not a bad price. I'm actually enjoying a glass now. Thank God it's Friday!

RFE is usually document related, something not filed, filled in correctly or not signed.

Hey everyone! The good news, I've been working like a horse so time is flying. The bad news, no one has touched my file yet. Have any July filers had any significant touches yet? Anyone else squirming from waiting? Do y'all think it will be the summer before our visa's are all approved? I'm thinking of weedebz and her wedding date.....I've not set one yet for fear of the wedding day being blitzed. I've bought my dress, and am starting on planning the place etc....but I'm afraid it's so up in the air that to plan anything concrete is hasty. I think our filing month in particular has been given the micky take of all micky takes. sigh.

Well we haven't had a touch or a breath or a ... whatever :-) either.

We scrapped our German church wedding. Thank goodness for Tucson Chick who warned me we might have issues. Now our plans for a European honeymoon are scrapped as well. I know that nothing really matters except us getting married and starting our lives together, but I'm pretty bummed. Now I have to plan a "real" wedding here in Seattle, and I wasn't expecting that. Yikes!

So we've set our date at August 2, 2008. I swear if we go longer than that....and he doesn't have a visa by June, then I may just say "screw it" and move to Germany (not really).

As crazy as it sounds, I am holding my breath waiting for Debz and Jeraly, because then I'll know my time is soon!

Haha - well I'm a bit of a late bloomer by July standards so most here will prolly get approved before me which will be frustrating :/

As for temperatures - it was over 100 in the shade every day where we were staying last summer and it wasn't so bad - I kinda got used to it so 70 felt freezing and I had to sit in air conditioned places with a jumper on or a blanket around me!! It was a nice dry heat though - the worst was we had a swamp cooler instead of a proper air con system so it was constantly humid and sticky where we were living :/

Some of you are getting a bit too pessimistic, most of us will have our NOA2's by Christmas. I think the people who are bearing the brunt of the delays are the May filers as they seem to be caught in the 'hump' of processing slowdowns.

As we watched our date slide out, my fiancee and I decided to take our honeymoon early. Meaning we are spending 2 weeks next month at our honeymoon destination instead of taking a honeymoon after we are married. The reason is simply because spending time together is more valueable than having to take a trip the day we are married (which isn't a custom in Russia anyway). This makes sense after we thought about it, and my family and friends all agree given our unique circumstances (marrying a foreigner I mean). Maybe some of you should consider it ;)

Visa took too long, grew apart and withdrew visa after six months.

I had actually thought of it - although we were contemplating having our ceremony, then just getting a few days away then when we have our legal wedding, we will go away - there are so many ifs and buts though - for the most part we just have to take things as they come :)
