Haha - yeah I've been using tiger balm on my temples - well my right temple as the left side is completely fine Been drinking peppermint tea as well (along with camomile and other things) so at least I am doing something right!!!

Hehe - I don't know if anyone frequents eBay but if they like their essential oils etc then I can recommend this guy: holmes_mill

I bought 100ml of lavender oil for about £6-7 including postage and he also has some peppermint oil which I have my eye on ready for when/if I get my next migraine (seems to be a bi-annual occurrence!)

Also - anyone else obsessed with facebook?! Would be great to add you all as friends Am also going to create a group for when I get married so everyone can post their photos and things Prolly get hen night photos there too

Hen night at the end of this month! My best friend is organising it for then because her theory is that Nov/Dec people are having Christmas parties and January no-one has any money because it is right after Christmas! I haven't a clue what it is all about so it will be interesting! Also thinking of having a second hen night mid-Jan for all my friends and getting the blokes to dress up as women ;D

plus..check this....been emailing our ring designer(we kinda become email friends)...he lives in seattle but all his ancestors from scotland (he's a ferguson so very scottish) he has discovered that i do wedding photography here and has proposed that if I can find a scottish supplier to carry his rings then i may get my money back for wedding rings and a wee extra...eg that engagement ring we couldn't afford due to visa and saving as much as possible!

That's awesome!!! I've kinda been the same with my wedding planner, Heather - she bought a couple of bracelets I made for herself and her daughter and now she wants to buy more for Christmas presents!! We keep in e-mail contact as friends as well as for business so it is really nice Am hoping I can kind of nudge my way into providing wedding jewellery through planners so would be helpful to have an "in" - will take a while to set up though so not expecting big things just yet!!!

I kinda have hopes for a job in US. When I was over there last, Nicks mammy took me to see a guy that owns one of the best studios in the area...he loved my portfolio and apparently had I been able to start working for him there and then he would have hired me! Apparently glasgow school of art qualifications are known as high standard over there too! I had a feeling working my ####### off was worth it! ooooo and thanks to 3 years of working my ####### to the bone...as of next month...I'M DEBT FREE!!!!!! even student debt gone! I can't wait!

Wow - that is amazing!! I have a £12k student loan hanging over my head but I guess that's the price I have to pay for uni I specialised in art and design but am thinking I might want to go do a masters or something in the US I don't know - there are so many avenues to explore once we get there!

Anyway - I think I ought to go to bed now - I'm all partied out! Just fancy cosying up with my last glass of wine (for the evening, not of the bottle!) curling up in bed and watching Red Dwarf until I want to sleep

No doubt will see some of you here tomorrow!! At least before the X-Factor anyway... man I am so sad

I worked my ####### off for my 4yr degree and ended up with only 5K debt.

Red Dwarf....got all my dvd's to take over with me...I love that show....got nick hooked too....best series was 3 or 4. Backwards or quarentine my fave episodes...yep..I'm sad too!

Wow - a 5k debt sounds great!!! I'm working on paying off my 2k overdraft before I move - I'll be happy with that and the student loan can get sorted later

Migraine still in full flow and in fact more painful now than before :/ Combining nasty chemical painkillers with peppermint tea and tiger balm seems to be helping though

Haha! Sounds very very cool but a nightmare at the same time!! I must admit I tend to be more conventional - I prefer to try natural remedies first but will resort to painkillers if need be. So Dr Debz - what is your diagnosis?!

here's the deal. i had killing migranes since my childhood, and not even the strongest pain-killers would help. it was so bad that i couldn't see through my right eye and couldn't move my right arm.

the cure: relaxiation-gymnastics like yoga or easy pilates-exercises EVERY night right before you go to bed, for 10 minutes. plus: cardio-workouts like running or cycling or walking , 30mins / 2 times a week. there are scientific studies proofing that the combination of yoga and cardio-workouts prevents up to 70% of all migranes.

if a migrane-attac strikes: 2 cups of coffee + chocolate+1 liter of cold water + peppermint-oil on your forehead. if possible 600mg of straight aspirin. lie down in a cold, dark room, no clothes, just a blanket. after 2h you should be fine.

chocolate and coffee are known for helping against migranes, most migrane-medication has caffein in it.

hope this helps, it saved my life at least

Haha thanks! I always thought chocolate and caffeine were bad for migraines... but I'll welcome the excuse to cram some choc down my neck!! Haven't lost any weight this week despite sticking to just over 1000 cals a day and so am feeling a bit rubbish

yeah, for some people access amounts of coffee and chocolate can trigger migranes. but whenever you already have one, and it was NOT induced by a combination of 3 snickers with a venti-coffee at starbucks, it might help to treat the migrane with chocolate and coffee.

i went to several meetings of a migrane-society in town, and NOBODY of the people there had migranes triggered by coffee and chocolate. for many women migranes are associated with they monthly cycle, but most often it is just bad luck, a change in weather, stress or, again, just bad luck.

don't tell me abt calories....I'll go running later, need to loose some weight before i try on the corsage for my wedding-dress..... bacically like 4pounds in 2 weeks.....
