2 more months in addition to 6-8 mos at the rate VSC is going, wonderful... I suppose it's not as bad compared to other countries. Is k3 taking just as long??

Yep. We think they'll be approved at the same time even though we applied for one before the other. So much for speeding things up.

How can you apply for both?

In retrospect I probably would've done K3, but we couldn't get married before october. Atleast my extended family could've been part of the wedding. We stupidly thought at the time that we would have our k1 in four months. On top of that we wasted money on a lawyer who might have potentially messed up our application. Ppl on VJ know more than him. WEll, atleast he's a nice guy and is trying.

Sorry.....I'm venting. :ranting:

CSC is currently approving non RFE K1 petitions at roughly 145 days from when they were submitted. This is increasing the VJ average CSC processing time. The projected adjudication date algorthm is utilizing this new average to create new projected adjudication dates that are moving in an undesirable direction.

CSC is continuously approving petitions, but at a pace where average processing times will continue to increase. Meanwhile, VSC appears to have stopped processing entirely. Because there are no VSC approvals the average VSC processing times are not changing so the projected adjudication dates are holding steady.

I hate to say this, but I think for a number of reasons we are all looking at a minimum 6 month processing time and I am modifying my plans accordingly. :(

I hope I am wrong.

I think Bill y Bella is right. As musch as it sucks, we need to face the reality that our NOA2s are going to take the full six months. Doesn't make me happy, but I think reality is so much better than false hope.

We'll all get there one day, guys!

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

hmm, it's the same time ;)

I guess it depends on how busy you are... I know some people have had to get temp work and so on, while they're waiting; I can see how time would drag more for them... I get annoyed and impatient from time to time, but materially my life's not that much different to before we filed; still working, still cleaning the house, still meeting friends, etc...

my dad's theory about time flying is that because there are more people on earth than ever before, they're using up the available time more quickly

Funny they could get extra people to process the 4 million passports that they were backlogged on. but they cant get extra people to catch up the K visas??? guess the K visa problem isnt in the news as much as the passport problem was so theres no mud on the face of USCIS.

I know it is just so frustrating - I have to stop myself from saying "I wish" five hundred times a day!!

ooooo I'm with you on that. It's usually...I wish we'd done this 2 months earlier!!!!

Tell me about it - we would have if Jeremy had researched more thoroughly and I hadn't gotten so confused by it all in the beginning... He thought that the K-1 process only took 3 months... He didn't realise we had to send of the I129-F first... ;)

Ok well mine slipped all the way from Sept. 27th to Jan. 1st today! Holy Moly! :help:

But someone in another forumn told me that it could be processed anytime sooner because it's just a projected date.

Are they factoring in Holiday seasons breaks and stuff like this now?

Ouch - that's nasty... Mine is on Dec 22nd now :/ Although you are right - it is just a projected date based on VJ timelines so the date is only as accurate as the timelines that are filled in :) At one point I had a projected date of the beginning of September... that was in the middle of last month - it kinda went screwy which was funny :D

Right now my projected approval date is Dec 23  ........whatever, I won't look anymore, I have enough stress as it is with school, it's too depressing, and I can't afford to be this way. At least I'll see him in Nov. and again in Dec........and most probably in March (spring break) all I can say is Thank GOD for student loans....

whatever I have to go to bed and dream of structures <_< .........good luck everyone.....

Student loans were a godsend - as well as the long holidays!!! Now I'm in work it's slightly different but at least there is a (rather distant) light at the end of the tunnel!!
