Haha - yeah it was awesome - it was great because I had to do all these random dares and things but it was safe because all the blokes were gay :D Lapdancing was fine as they weren't interested in groping me(!) and I got bought a rose by my lesbian friend Jen so all in all a good night!!!

Started off the proceedings by having a full body massage and hot tub though - waiting for my friends to post the pics so I can steal them all so will let you all know when they're up so you can check them out :D

If anyone's interested in seeing pics of my hen night:

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2725...mp;id=739675434

I'm going to be adding more as my friends post them - there were dares in the club (which was a gay club) hence "Ashley's" naked bottom!!!

Looks like you guys had a wild time!!! The pics were great!!!

Well, Charry has all her tasks done.

Birth Certificate(NSO), Passport, Police Certificate, and NBI Clearance.

All she is waiting on is the Packet 4. Once she has that, which won't be fore a few more months, she can fill out the DS forms and I'll send the Affidavit of Support.

Jeraly, best I can do is probably a photo that is several years old. Her mother has had a falling out with my grandparents so we haven't seen that side of the family in a long while. And even thou she nolonger lives at home, shes 32 :-P, she sticks with her mother on that.

We were lucky to even have my uncle show up last year when his dad (my grandfather) was in the hospital. My grandfather is ok, funny story that..

He woke up Saturday morning and my grandmother could not understand him, he was speaking jumbled up, words in the wrong place and it only got worse later on when he was admitted. The doctors said he had a stroke, 3 days later and having him transfere to another hospital he was back to normal. ... It was an atypical migraine.

I always thought it was funny that you can have a headache so bad that your brain stops working properly.

I'm glad your grandfather is fine. Migraines often manifest themselves in strange neurological forms. I'm a school nurse and many teens have had a diagnosis of 'convulsive migraines' where they actually appear to have a seizure. Upon MRI and CT scans, however, all is normal. It's good to be aware of the symptoms of stroke though so you can catch it early if it happens. Some strokes can be reversed!

Back to the subject of our packets....I'm growing more impatient and itching to do more for the wedding. We're having a small family only affair, but I want it as special and memorable as possible. It's not very traditional either I'm afraid. For instance our wedding music is going to be a CD of Sting's 'Fields of Gold'. But we're older and I've been married before, and have children, so I think it fits. I'm rambling now, one glass of wine and i'm tipsy. sigh. night y'all!

Here's a random question which will probably add to the wedding discussion: How many of you ladies will change your last names when you marry? I'm still debating whether to do this since I'm still in school. Everything is under my maiden name, and when I take the boards (in 2-years Lord willing) it'll have the info my school gives them, therefore my Pharmacy Lic will have my maiden name and so will my PharmD degree.. My fiance says that I don't have to change it because he knows it will be a hassle changing everything.

I like his last name but at the same time i keep thinking: "i will graduate as a Dr and that is something that I accomplished, me, no one else"......it sounds selfish i know but think of it.......I've sacrficed approx 6 yrs of my life so I can get a degree, don't i owe it to myself to use my last name with a prefix before it? and my fiance also understands my point of view, which is why he says there's no need to change my last name b/c he knows it's a huge accomplishment in my life (what can i say he understands me at all levels :)) but at the same time, i want to show that I'm happy and proud that I'm married to him by using his last name. (so you all see my dilemma here)

Anyways I can always hyphenate it but my name will be too dang long, my first name is 8 letters, my last name is 10 and I use my middle initial, imagine adding 8 more letters to my last name!!

So the qestion still stands: how many of you will change or hyphenate your last names?

Gretchen cant wait to change her name. She loves her last name but she is looking forward to having my last name. she will take her last name as her middle name and lose her current middle name which she doesnt like anyway. So that worked out really well. best of both worlds.

I haven't decided yet either... my fiance has said that he actually has a tiny preference for me keeping my own name, as he got to know me that way and it suits me, but he doesn't mind either way... I'm fluctuating; not sure yet what I'll do

at this stage I'm leaning towards taking his name - it IS nice (couldn't do it if it was 'Spratt' or something worse ;) ), but I also like the idea of it showing us both on the same 'team' :)

either way, I'd never hyphenate; I really don't like that tradition... moving mine to be the middle name is something I have considered, and I think that's quite a good option :)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

i will take my fiance's last name. he is in science, so keeping his last name is key for his career.

plus, my last name really DOES NOT work in the US. it's not pronouncable, and even germans don't know how to spell it. his last name works in both countries really well.

i originally planned to order my police certificate today, but i have to work till 6, and not like my boss promised only until noon

our ceremony is pretty much planned. i will spend the next weeks on DIY-decoration though

hope everybody has a great start in the new week!

I'm changing my name to his. I want us to have the same last name. But I also undertand why others don't want to change their names. Its a very personal decision and I respect whatever choice someone makes. Just be careful when hyphenating - it can result in some very awkward combinations!!!
