anyone know when they update the processing dates at CSC currently on March 15th

My guess is they might update it in the middle of October...

I hear from my attorney that because of the fee increase there's been a considerable number of workload added to the CSC, my NOA1 has a July 11th, 2007 date and even though I am hopeful to get my NOA2 shortly I am also cautiously waiting it won't be delayed, if anyone has any comments please reply. I'd be grateful for any information

First, if you enter the date you sent your I-129F to your timeline VJ will provide a projection of when you might receive your NOA2. It is only a projection and subject to change.

Assuming that you sent your petition in July, based on current processing times you should not expect to see your NOA2 until December at the earliest. Personally I believe it will take longer unless CSC begins approving petitions faster than they are now.

Sorry for the bad news.

You can get your receipt number from the back of the cashed cheque. It took them a month to cash our cheque and we still haven't received and NOA1 but since I have a receipt number I am not too bothered by that. I just needed to know it was in the system.

In the short time I have been paying attention to that webpage, they seem to update it on the 15th of every month.

Do you know how many VJ June filers at CSC? I thought that there are about the same amount of June filers. I know there are so many July filers. Do you think when USCIS will finish up most of may filers?

Here is a link to the most recent CSC stats I compiled.

At their current pace, CSC will take approximately 40 days to finish May. Changes in the pace of approvals will of course change the amount of time it takes.

I had to laugh when I read that... I am american, and the last time I tried to get into the UK, upon arrival I ended up spending the day in immigration! I was pulled aside because I didn't have a return ticket (long story), and spent 8 hours in a holding room with other "detainees", being questioned over and over... Eventually I was denied entry, and sent back to the US... It was like they were fishing for reasons to deny me, and in the end their argument for my refusal was weak, but nonetheless, I was sent back to the US. I know that immigration in the US is pretty tough, but the UK is no picnic either!

The lady I got last year at UK immigration was pretty rude. I didn't have the current address for my relatives since they were picking me up...plus I had the phone number. The immigration lady was stunned that I didn't know their address. I might not know the address, but I knew how to get there. She was ok with the number...problem was I had to turn on my cell phone to get it. That pissed her off even more and she got so fed up that she let me go. I was going to report her but relatives felt there was no point.

Hopefully they move alot quicker than 40 days, cause that will put many people close to, or at the 6 month mark.

Normally I am the silent reader, but I have to agree on that. I am American and was almost denied entry the first time (April '07) because I didnt have a print out of my flight schedule. I had not left the U.S in 7 years and the last time was with my father so I didnt know any better.

The next trip was in July '07 - no problems.

But the 3rd time, in mid September, I was detained and had my bags searched. They thought I was trying to stay in the U.K. because of my frequent visits in the past 6 months. I work/ live in Las Vegas and do quite well in the nightclub industry. Apparently its a crime to have a flexible schedule, good income and worst of all - be in love with an Englishman. I feel blessed on all three counts!!

They finally let me through after an hour of searching and 'gathering evidence'. I think they thought it was funny that I had 2 bags, the second being filled with American cereal (Apple Jacks) and a Nevada drivers manual.

I went to London in November 05, and told the guy at Customs or w/e that I was there to meet my girlfriend. He never asked for any proof that I was going home, and he stamped a thing in my passport that said from that day, for the next 6 months, I could come back, no hassles, no nothing, just go right through basically.

So yeah, I am surprised ya'll had problems with UK immigration

well, if they really HAD thought you were trying to stay, or that any of those things were a 'crime', then of course there'd have been no way you'd have been allowed through... they're suspicious, just like the US immigration; they have loads of illegal immigration too

I've been questioned at UK immigration a few times, when I was a tourist, but never more than checking income and intentions... US is scarier

and when I arrived in the UK to live, with my Ancestry Visa stuck there in my passport, the guy was SO lovely... asked what I was intending to do, then just smiled, and said 'I wish you all the very best' :)

I was so nervous - about the move, not getting through immigration - that it felt like a very propitious beginning... as did the lovely early morning autumn sunlight coming in through the window; I still remember that morning so clearly :)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.
