Your profile shows ROC pending.  Has the ROC been approved?  If not, they cannot approve the N400 until that is also finalized.

Good Luck!

Thank you! ROC was approved about a year ago.  I forgot to update it on here

That answer is not going to help you. It can range from hours to years and yours could be anywhere in that range. Mine took a month. You may have contributed to your situation by not having enough evidence of continuing marriage.

Its waiting time, nothing you can do aside from staying positive. It’s part of the process.

After a few months (4 months minimum I suggest) if you don’t hear back you can make enquiries or consider filing mandamus. Be warned though that we’re in extraordinary times.

I know.. I just wanted to have an idea of how much time I could be waiting. And yes I totally forgot about bringing more evidence, that was my mistake. Thanks for your advice!

Hi there,

That's pretty normal. I had the same situation (felts a bit distraught at first!) and ended getting confirmation of approval 19 days later. Sometimes the OP you talk to needs thumbs up from leadership. I wouldn't worry too much... once you're approved, things move fast, I had my certificate in hand 40 days after the ITW, voted the very next day and got my US passport two weeks later. I know how excruciating that can be towards the end, but hang in there, your immigration journey is almost over 🙂

Thank you! I hope I get a confirmation soon, the whole process is nerve-wracking. I'm ready to be done with it

Hi! I had my n-400 interview this week. I passed my civics, written and oral test but IO checked option B " Decision cannot be made".  For those of you who have gone through the same how long did it take you to hear back from USCIS? I got an email this morning saying "We have taken action on your case"  but when I log in there's no update. The status is still interview was schedule.

Thank you in advance for your answers!

My husband got approved after 3 months of submitting the requested evidence electronically, 4 months mailed.

We did not get approved on the spot as well, and the IO told my wife that our case was selected as a random quality check, which would require supervisor's approval and does happen quite often. We got our approval 4 hours after interview. Now, our initial GC interview also went through the same and that took 4 months because I guess the supervisor did not have time. I was able to grab a higher supervisor's attention through months long infopass appointments, which was available at the time.

My point is, and this will sound cliche, that you will never have consistency with USCIS. It varies so significantly case by case, IO by IO. Hang in there though, you'll get it!
