Hello Everyone.

I have An Urgent Question that I hope someone can set my mind at ease otherwise I will drive my wife crazy and she will divorce me and then all of this and my life will not be worth much..

I am a very extremely paranoid man. I might even be O.C. (Obsessive Compulsive) altho not Medically diagnosed yet. If I could only show all the paranoia and double checking that I went through when sending all of the prior documents.

Well Now to my problem..

When we began the process of her K-1 and all I used to live at my sister's house ( why you ask?) my sister has a 4 bedroom 2 bath house and it is only her and her husband, before I used to share a two bedroom apartment with my younger brother when he got out of the Marine Corp. then he got engaged and married so I was kicked out ( not really but it felt this way) My mother insisted that since I was alone to move with my sister to help her and since she had recently lost her baby that they have been trying to be parents for the past 10 years this is another long story. Back to my problem when me and Danielle found out that the k-1 visa was approved I decided that I would move out before her arrival to the U.S. and so I did.

I Found this nice big House that the owner had separated a bedroom, livingroom, bathroom and kitchen from the main house and he was renting it at a good price with all utilities included (light, water, cable,) except phone. no lease or contract just verbal agreements since the house owner was recommended by a long time fried of mine who goes to the university with the owner's sisters. So I took it. Danielle Arrived and one month later we got married. Ok.OK. I'll get to the point

I never changed the address on the papers because I felt safer with my sisters address and plus if she did not like the place we were living we can move at anytime.. also fear that changing address might delay the application and here in Miami they are taking about 2 years to proccess them..

to end this. I have copies of all my rent checks and I got a notarized paper stating how long we have been living there from my landlord. Evidence of relationship is not a problem we have plenty ( joint income tax, Gym contract, Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Auto Policy, Mail, Pictures, even purchase Additional Car for wife she is a teacher and now has a lot of interviews to go to Etc.Etc..

I am worried and freaking out about this? Will this be a problem at the interview? Please someone Advice me and Help a poor soul get some sleep?

Got a long way to go till May.

thank you so much

Jose & Danielle

You are meant to submit an AR-11 whenever you change address. You also have to phone the information line and tell them. Well, we filed several AR-11's before they actually got the information on our file! It seemed that they lost every one we sent in and the information line didn't update anything relating to our change of address either. Only by making an INFOPASS appointment and taking the AR-11 to the District Office and insisting that they make the necessary changes on the computer, while we stood there, did our address actually get changed!!

I would submit an AR-11 now and put the correct dates you moved etc. They probably won't even question it.

I know about the 10 days but the AR-11 does not give the option to maintain the previous Address as mailing Address. We want to receive our mail there since it is a more stable Address my sister will not sell her house anytime soon and We ( me & wife ) are even talking about moving soon.

I don't think it matters - you are living in places a or b or c but your mail keeps going to your sister's (or relative's) house should be perfectly OK. You don't need to show your rental payments etc. to provide proof of relationship (its just one more pieve of evidence) If they ask you at the time of interview you can explain this. I believe you are fine - now pass me another MGD. Good Luck

You should make an infopass appointment and explain it all to an immigration officer..... that way you will get it right..

Good Luck

Kezzie

AR-11 does NOT change your mailing address; it is required to report the immigrant's physical presence in the US (this used to be done in person once per year).

If you file AR-11 as required by law, it will not interfere with your USCIS mailing address.
