Thank you for your great answers. What does the medical test consist of since there's so much forgery? I think some physicals and TB test etc. My mom said she did Hepatitis B, TB, X-ray, sputum & physicals.

So here is what she told me. She got an interview slot. Paid ASAP through Mpesa to get that out of the way. The embassy then sent her a list of stuff that needs to be done before the interview date. One of them was the medical. The medical is done at IOM. All payment details are on that list that the embassy sent. So, she used Mpesa to pay for the Medical and told IOM when her interview date was so that they have things ready. IOM them scheduled the medical. Being that IOM works with the embassy, I think you give them your interview appointment date, file ID at the embassy so that when the results are done, they can upload it to the correct account. You will get results at the embassy.

If the results are negative, you retain your original chosen interview date. If the results are positive, IOM will alert embassy, then IOM will reschedule your medical interview up until you test negative. Then they will communicate the negative results to the embassy, who will now reschedule your interview date.

Yes please if you can screenshot if you see one. Curious to see how it looks like. Cool

In order to see available appointments, you have to click Pay Visa Fee, and then the appointments should appear correct? Not sure. My sister told me she first got a slot for my mom then had to pay the fee before interview. This makes me think you have a certain time frame to get the fee paid and then maybe input the transaction number on the system so that you are marked as paid and hence keep your slot. This makes sense because one of the payment methods is through bank. As you know, you will not be having the "paid bank details" unless you went to the bank after you got the "reserved interview slot details" so as to use it for payment. Nearly everyone pays using Mpesa.

Also, what are the ways to pay for the visa once a appointment slot appears? Mpesa, credit card and in person? Mpesa or bank payment.

Good luck to your sister on her interview slot. Thanks

Have you not bene to Nairobi? Or even Kenya? I believe you can meet anywhere before you file K-1. So, I am not sure if you met in Kenya or anywhere else.

Ask your fiancé about "River Road" in Nairobi. In a nutshell, Kenyans will forgo doing anything the right way, maybe due to luck of time or trying to cover lack of the required document, go to River Road and comeback with authentic results, all forged at a cheaper price. You can get almost anything fabricated along River Road. US embassy knows this. So, to avoid all this, they partner with certain laboratories. So you cannot cheat because it is automatic transmission of data. When I did my interview way back, someone showed up with almost authentic but fake bank statements. He was grilled at the window. I was just listening to the story and gathering information. Anyway, he was caught. He disclosed everything.

Kenyans have money. So it is either they visit River Road for quick results or to forge something that they were asked but they do not have or lied about and now they have been caught. So they have to produce document. 2 hour's visit to River Road and you have it. Problem is, if it is probed, you are now in more problems than you were initially.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.
