Hey guys I'm in states on B2 visa while my IR1 case is waiting for schedule of interview in Embassy. I have return flight in start of March while due to dramatically rise in COVID cases in recent months now I'm concerned about what if lockdown takes places again (hope not) will I be able to extent my B2 stay? If I do so will it effect on my IR1 visa case?

The safest option would be to travel now, no current issues.

The future? well who knows personally I do not see that sort of lockdown and when there was one previously you could still have flown. Might be more complicated, hopefully you are not leaving it to the last minute.

Ok sir thank you so much for your kind advice and reply... Would you please tell me if it'll be any issue in your immigrant visa if you get visa extension? Just asking for knowledge.

You need a reason to apply but if you get one no issue, not as if you are likely to need to concern yourself about using a B in the future.

Well thanks for your support. I wish I won't have to stay in states over the period.

Tourist Visa - you can apply for extension..  But when denied and you are here beyond your initial I-94 max stay, you will have to leave right away.  On lockdowns, going back to home country usually is allowed.  Except for extreme country lockdown- which they also have special flights for their citizens.

I would assume so but check with your Airline.

They can be done at the Airport.

Here is what I found googling it:  https://covid.gov.pk/travel-guidelines  >>> https://storage.covid.gov.pk/uploads/policies/Revised Inbound Policy.pdf
You just have to inquire within your area where you can get a PCR test.    Hope this helps!

Since you are in the US, adjust your status; problem solved.

Since you are already in US, why not just file for AOS?

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.
