Hi everyone,

I had my interview at the Frankfurt consulate last Wednesday. Everyone was very friendly and it all went well.

Before the interview I set my passport to be delivered to my home address on ustraveldocs. When I tried to login now to track my visa status/passport I realized that I don't have an account with them.is that even possible after signing up for delivery?I got my interview scheduled by nvc,  so there is no interview in the system of ustraveldocs.

I created an account just to see if there an option to enter my case number or the UID, but  I can't find way to do so. Any tips on how I could track it ?

Thanks everyone, this whole process really seems to stay confusing until the very end 😔

You just need to enter your passport number in the field on this link: https://www.ustraveldocs.com/de/de-niv-passporttrack.asp

it did that, but only get this message

Passport Status :
There is no status update available for the passport number submitted

Probably the delivery service hasn't picked up the passport yet.

I just realized that the passport number on the transaction confirmation is wrong.it is my passport number with an added 7D. Would they not have noticed that at the day of the interview?  I can't find a way to change it

Do you get info when you input the passport number with the added characters?

Yes it says no status available. So I just found out that the number that is on the registration confirmation is the one on the bottom left of my passport, I think it's called seriennummer.i dont remember anymore if I put the number in by hand or if my passport got scanned.

Have you checked the status on the CEAC website?

You could also send an email to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com

In any case, you shouldn't worry. Even if you cannot track the passport, it should arrive.

And you should receive updates through your email, shouldn't you?

I just send a message to that email.

Ceac says that my case is ready for interview and was last updated on the day of my interview.

Yeah, nothing showed up in my account either (I still had the same one after the interview though). I just tracked my status on CEAC where it said “issued” and that my passport was ready for pickup/delivery. The next day I got notification emails from ustraveldocs and UPS with a tracking number. Package got delivered the following day. I hope this helps.

Just read that now. Then your passport isn’t ready yet and they’re still printing your visa or finalizing something (called “administrative processing”). It needs to update and say “issued” for it to go into the mail.

edit: the consulate was also closed on Thursday (epiphany) because they follow German and American holidays (quite nice, right? unless you’re waiting for documents). The officer probably used Friday as an extra day off (Brückentag). Don’t worry, it’s just been a few days. I’m sure you’ll have your passport+visa by the end of the week.

Thanks, I feel less stressed about it now:)

seems to be quite a nice job working for the consulate having both German and American holidays;)

So I still don't have any update on my case. On CEAC it is still showing Ready. even though according to CEAC the case was updated on Monday and yesterday. I really don't know what that means. It has been a week now.
