My fiancé was only able to get a Medical exam appointment 13 days prior to the interview.  Is this a problem?

I thought it should be within 7 days but that is all they had.  In addition she is scheduled to pick up the visa after the interview at the Rio consulate.  Does anyone know how long it takes for the visa to be ready to pick up?

No

A week or two normally

Technically the medical can be months before the interview, but typically you would want it done within a few weeks.  The visa's expiration date is on or before 6 months from the date of the medical.

My fiance did her interview at the start of November and we are still waiting on the results of the interview.
