Interview is done! Case not updated online

Hello Everyone,

 

I just had my interview 2 days ago for green card based marriage( I 485 adjustment of status). The officer approved the application but my case is not updating online. How can I get some information? Did anyone experience something similar? Please help.

Except for those who got an I-551 stamp at the interview, or saw the status change to “card in production” by the time they got home from the interview (not my wife), everyone (including my wife) goes through the same thing you are going through. 
 

It is likely  you will have a green card in hand 30 days from now.  
 

Some cases take longer.  I read a case today that had an interview in 2015.  Then another interview in December 2021. And today “card in production.”

 

Check once a day.

Thank you for your response! I mean I thought I would be done after the interview but I guess not! This wait is horrible! Did your wife got her GC yet? I know people that received the notification the same day as you said! Not sure why!

Interviewed January 16, 2020.

 Approved January 27, 2021.  
Card in hand February 1, 2020.

Some IOs care more than others about the emotional damage waiting does to beneficiaries. At the very same office on the very same day, other marriage based I-485 interviews had a status of approved the same day.  Based on descriptions I am 100 percent certain they had a different IO.  
 

Ironically the “resident since date” on her green card was the date of the interview.  Which means that the IO actually approved it the day of the interview and out of vindictiveness waited 10 days to get it approved and put the card in production.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I guess more patience is needed lol hopefully I hear something soon! You are right some IOs care more than others! Wow resident since the day of the interview but waited out 10 days ! I mean that says it all!

Hey I just checked my status online and it says case approved!!!!!!! OMG finally!!!! Does this mean they sent my GC already? Or should I expect a « card is being issued next »?

Card could have been sent.  
 

Technically you should see:

 

card was ordered. 
 

card is in production 

 

card was produced 

 

card was sent 

 

card was delivered 

 

However it is possible you can will receive a card without any of those status updates.  
 

Expect the card in 3-14 days.

Thank you for your explanation.I noticed an approval notice was sent today under notices on my account, so I was abit confused if GC was attached to it. I will keep checking to see if it changes.

Congratulations dear,I’m done the interview yesterday but the online case is interview Was scheduled In end of my interview the officer she told me everything was good we well send you mailbox in 2 weeks

It took 2 days for me to see changes online so hopefully the same will happen to you. Thanks I’m waiting for my card to be mailed now!

With what visa you entered in USA?

Same here. Interviewed on 11/15/2021. Still the online status shows Interview was scheduled.

Same here, it’s been a month already and status keeps saying. Interview was scheduled.
