Hi, my I130 petition in Nebraska is now "outside" of official processing times, by 4 days.

Is it worth making a case inquiry yet? VisaJourney timeline estimates that it should be completed sometime between now and February 2022. Is this likely more accurate?

Since 5th of October the case is "being actively reviewed" - does that change the processing time or is it still from NOA1?

Also if the case was transferred somewhere else - would that be shown in the online status of my case?

Thank you in advance! :)

Case processing times from USCIS for Nebraska for I 130 spouse

21 Months to 27.5 Months
Permanent resident filing for a spouse or child under 21
October 01, 2019

Here on VJ the site only has info from members and many times members do not do a timeline
and the only ones who do one are the successful visa people
and not everyone who applies for a visa joins VJ

take all that into consideration and pray u are faster than 21 months
Nebraska transfered our case after 10 months to Missouri and they had it 6 more months
and that was pre covid

Are you sure your case is still at Nebraska? Have you Asked Emma?

Both our NOA1 online and paper stated Nebraska but when I finally was able to connect I discovered we are actually at Vermont. We didn't receive any notification about the transfer.

Hi, not sure. Who's Emma? How do I ask?

@JeanneAdil: When I checked, it stated 4-7 months on the USCIS processing time site. It's US citizen filing for spouse.

when you go to the uscis.gov website use the chat feature "ask emma"

type "representative" and that should connect you to a live agent. You can ask "where is my case?" did find out if its still in Nebraska.

Thank you!

I've been trying to do this now but the live chat keeps disconnecting me - is that normal or an issue with my internet connection?

Hi Everyone,

According to my timeline my petition should've gotten a NOA2 by March 26th.

However, it still hasn't. Checking with an agent, it is still in Potomac which means it's still within "normal processing times".

I wonder why VJ is giving me an estimate so far below the "normal processing times" - how accurate is it?

Is VJ estimate not being met something to worry about?

Thank you in advance.

If all petitioners joined VJ

and if all VJ members did a timeline

then the stats would reflect the most correct timelines

as it is the (AVERAGE) of those who join the site and create and keep up with  a timeline is all this site can show

as it is now many do not do a timeline and those who quit the process or are denied never come back to report a status
