How long does it take lately between getting an NOA2 and getting an interview date in Mexico City? I'm anticipating getting my NOA2 sometime later this month or in February (I filed in April 2021), and I really want to know how long it takes until you receive an interview at the Mexico City embassy. On Mexico k1 pages I'm in, I see some people only took 2 months to get theirs, but some people took 8 months to get theirs. Is their an average time it has been taking lately? Thanks!

It seemed to be about 4 to 5 months lately once they began doing them in Mexico City, however in mid-December the embassy stopped accepting from the NVC and have not resumed yet (we were told this by NVC when calling for our case number, you can find an email to this affect here on Visajourney, and many people discussing it in the Mexico K1 FB group). We are currently at NVC waiting for transfer to the embassy and then an interview, so we will update when ours finally gets to the embassy and when we finally get an interview appointment.

Thank you for the comment. I've been seeing it take more like 7-8 months lately which saddens me. I'm already over 10 months of just waiting for our noa2 and still nothing. USCIS has been approving early March 2021 cases since November. And now the embassy is taking forever to give interviews when other embassies interview you within weeks. I guess maybe we'll have this visa 2 years from now? 🙃

Have you heard any news on when the Mexico City embassy will resume taking cases? I’m not on Facebook and haven’t been able to find something on VJ. If you have a link I would greatly appreciate that.

Ours is still stuck at the NVC. There are K1 interviews occuring, but haven't heard of any moving from the NVC to the embassy yet.
