Petitioner's Documents

I am the petitioner for my husband and sent in my citizenship certificate with the initial I-130 application. My husband is now scheduled for his interview appointment and I'm wondering if he needs to take a copy of my certificate along with all of his documents. Also, is a copy of my birth certificate needed? We looked through all docs listed on interview prep page, and nothing pertaining to the spouse/petitioner is listed, aside from the Marriage Certificate.

I also have a second question that may be a non-issue, but I'm checking just in case. When he chose the address for the courier service, the receipt that was generated shows his information, his UID number with a barcode, but then next to "Trip Purpose", it says "IV Waiver". I don't know what that means. He never received some type of waiver. Maybe this is what it says on all of the receipts? His visa class is listed as IR1, but that waiver part has me confused. Nothing on the CEAC website shows anything about a waiver, so it's just this one document. If you still have a copy of this slip, can you tell me what it says as "trip purpose"? I'm probably overthinking this one.

Hi there,

You should fill out your timeline so people can more specifically taylor answers to your questions.

I had a copy of hub's citizenship certificate, but didn't need it.  I did NOT have a copy of his birth certificate.  You typically only need what's listed on the list.

IV - immigrant visa.  I believe it's to indicate that the information, as obtained by DoS, will already be on file for the CBP officer to access and review and endorse.
