Proof of bona fide marriage

I am going to Ghana to get married next month. What types of things do i need to prove a bona fide marriage? I cant put him on my bank account without a social security number. My house is paid for. No car payments, Please help

Authorized user on credit cards (most don’t require ssn), taxes filed jointly (you can apply for ITIN for your spouse even if he’s a foreigner - that’s used if a person doesn’t have ssn/doesn’t qualify), trips (passport stamps, hotel receipts, barding passer).

There are some banks that do not require a SSN. Google them.

Aside from that, joint tax returns, joint credit cards, hotel and flight tickets with both your names, passport stamps on either one showing that you visited each other, pictures, power of attorney, medical advanced directives.

I am indeed down here (as in Ghana) as you speak or type. However how peculiar is Ghana and different from other countries and supporting documents?
 

Except for our befuddling custom of calling traditional marriages engagement which creates problems for some couples, I don’t see any difference from other countries.

 

There are several threads on generating evidence even when the spouse is overseas and doesn’t have a social to be added to financial docs.
