Problem solved! He basically had the same reaction as Bora Bora's hubby.

We can always apply later if there is a GC hold up, and although the fees will be higher, we'll be able to deal with it better. And I also explained "emergency" AP to him.

Speaking as someone who got AP even though OKC at that time was motoring along nicely....it's awfully nice to have the AP documents in hand when an emergency pops up out of the blue. I didn't have to run to OKC to get the emergency AP (and there wasn't a guarantee I would have been granted the emergency AP) -- all we had to do was make the travel plans and go.
