hello everyone, my fiance recently passed her k1 interview after waiting for two years😀 and all that is left is to enter the us. In her application we have put texas as our residence and port of entry, but we are planning to go to new york first to visit a family before going to texas. will my fiance have any problems entering the US in a different state thats not in her application form?

she will only be asked "Where she will be residing here in the US by the customs and immigration offical

if she knows your address no problem

and most of us don't fly directly to where we live here in US as we must have layovers

Adil came thru Chicago (POE) and then onto Nashville

when he brings his mom on tourist visa , he plans to fly into JFK so we can take her to see NYC before i drive her here to TN

and some even do POE in Canada for US customs

Congratulations

I have a question that is similar to this. Will my fiancée and her kids have to fly from Philippines directly to the US, or can she fly to another country where we can meet up for a short week vacation which would allow us to fly together to the US...

She can go to any country she wants to before going to the USA

Hi! I think mine is similar situation also, Did you happen to  know if you’re able to enter a different state for the first time if you are an immigrant visa sponsored by a family member? My mom haven’t been in US yet, it will be her first time traveling here after her interview was approved. But me and my husband is planning to move to a different state which is in Montana, can my mom enter in Montana, instead of our current place. And can we have her greencard delivered straight to Montana? Thank you I hope you can help with this. 🙏🏻☺️

Your mom may enter through any POE, regardless of what was in her DS-260.  But she must make sure to inform the CBP officer at POE about her new address so that her SSN/GC can be delivered there.  Also file AR-11 and I-865 with USCIS for change of address.
