Your date just opened yesterday and you already filed?

I hope it will not come to bite you later BUT you should have waited one week in. USCIS online time does not respect time zones. WE talk abut this all the time here.

Why a full week? Wouldn't 2-3 days after the date opens good enough? Genuinely curious, thanks.

To have peace of mind. USCIS is known to give people headaches regarding this. And by the way, your application being sent their 2 days in doesn't add any much significant benefit. A week in is just a general guide that I tell people to use.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Filed on Jan 15, 2022, Philadelphia office, 5 year rule.

my husband just got his Oath Ceremony after a year. I hope it will go faster. Anyone else from Philly?

Received a reuse of biometrics notice and status changed to Case is being actively looked at by USCIS. 🤞🏻 It will move faster than 13 months!

Wow that’s fast!

I got the biometrics same day as my online filing date which was on a Saturday. Seems like they have online tools that can check based on the A# and generate the letters if biometrics are available in their system.

CLAIMS database holds records of immigration journey. Immigration IT system is automated as in once you submit an application, the system initiates checks on you assuming you have been through CIS. HART (formerly IDENT) maintains biometrics records. Once an application originates in CLAIMS system,  it is intelligent enough to determine where are your biometrics by your alien number.  These systems are essential to administer our benefits in a timely manner.

hi there,

I am wondering how did you receive that notice if you have received the paper notice yet? My wife also filled on paper but she hasn't received anything yet. Thanks for your help.

I added a notification form G1145 to my application. That form is a request to send you a text message or email when the application was received with your receipt number.

I received the paper notice yesterday along with the notice that my biometrics will be reused.

Online it shows my case is actively being handled since 1/18
