Expediting of I 130 applications (parents)

Possible, yes.

Probable.....eh.

It depends on the medical grounds. If you can show they need to be here to be under your care I can see that valid reason. But you will have to provide documented evidence to support your claim.

But be warned that petitions for parents who have medical conditions sometimes get extra scrutiny. You may have to show you can cover their costs for medical insurance and such (your parents will not qualify for Medicaid).

Is it possible to expedite an I-130 application on medical grounds and what would the process be?

The I-130 applications were received in September 2021 and an IOE....number received.

Hi @Joybells. I also filed for my parent in September 2021 and am patiently waiting.

If you want to expedite for medical reasons and are in California, they are eligible to get medi cal while they are waiting for their green card.

Expedites are normally approved when the medical needs are for the USC, not the intending immigrant.
