Hey Guys....I finally got the affidavit of Support packet yesterday in the mail... So you know I am not so MISERABLE today.... I am gonna run down to the mail room and overnight the packet back to the NVC, SO THEY WILL HAVE IT BY TOMORROW. Hopefully when I gte home today I will get the IV fee bill ...I am just praying that hubby will get at least an October INTERVIEW..... Ladies, please pray for us that this thing just goes through the process quickly.

Thnaks...I am happy for now. I do have his Birth Certificate and he does have a new pass port. He got the police certificate this week and sent it to me. All I sent with the affidavit were my W2's, job letter, copy of pay stub, 2006 tax transcript.

don't count on getting a date in October. Best plan for december and then maybe you'll be get a date for oct. don't set yourself up for disapointment.

They should have it in there system by Friday if they get it tomorrow. Then plan on getting an update in no longer than one month i.e. don't complain when in two weeks they still have no news for you lol give it the full month

Do you have his new birth certificate and police report? does he have the new passport?

hush yaw milan you soon get it. Friday I sat outside waiting for the postman. When I saw him walking up I got so excited thinking maybe today I'll get the interview letter. He looked at me and said "I've got nothing for you" lol I nearly died. But hey he handed me the letter on Saturday and today I got the correction letter with the changed date. So things will happen in their due time.

Trust me I know how preoccupied you mind it is with this. I can't seem to focus on anything else. Nothing! So I don't. But what I do is get the things that I have control over together. I was actually able to have my phone card company send me a record of my calls for the past year free of charge. It was a long shot but when she said yes I was elated. Also Cingular now AT&T told me that I would have to pay $5 per month for my phone records when I called. The guy said he would call me in a week to see what he could do. Next thing I know I get a package from At&T. I'm here thinking to myself what could this be (I left cingular last year) since I never had an account with At&t. Turns out the guy put 1 1/2 years of phone records in PDF form on a CD for me. Another score. So while you think there is nothing to do but sit and wait. There are tons. And it'll take some of the stress off. You may even find that you need to get a ton of stuff together and that will ease the waiting period a little. Hope that helps hon.

It sure was. But this process is the ultimate roller coaster ride. Some days I'm hesitant to think he will get it because I don't want to jinx it and then others I'm in a full fledged day dream of how I'll react when he finally gets here . Then I nip the day dreams in the bud and create a plan B for if he doesn't get it. This whole thing is just crazy.

But some things really keep me busy to pass each day one at a time. Now I have to figure out where to go to print all 302 pages out cuz I sure ain't finishing my ink and paper for that lol

know anywhere that prints for 2 cents a page?

OH I wanted to say that I've been writing down things I want to happen in my notebook(i.e. my school notebook, I scribble in the margins and on the back pages). Sort of in prayer form...I started writing Please please please Lord can we get an interview date soon Please please please and we had a date in a few days. At first I thought it was a coincidence but I just kept doing it. So the next day I scribbled please please please can he go and get pre tested within the week. and if you know my husband, he doesn't do anything I ask him for a long while. But he did go get tested within a week! So then I put please please please be clean...and the test came back clean. So you know I' on a roll now...

I put please like a million times in there lol

That "please, please, please doodle prayer" sounds like a good idea! I'm gonna start doing that.

I've been praying for God's blessings in this relationship even before we started the relationship. Me and my finace both lost our jobs earlier this year. I lost mine the same week he proposed, he lost his 2 months later, the same week I finally found another one. All through it we were tryng to plan a wedding and and save to start the visa process. It kept seeming like one trial after another was trying to keep us apart. Now even though I hated my previous job (horrible rude boss, 2 hour drive each way to work, and I just needed a break), I was completely in shock when losing my job abruptly. However, we both stayed faithful and prayerful through it all. Me asking God to send me the perfect job, and placing me where HE wants me to be, not just where I want to be. In the end I got EXACTLY what I prayed for. I got 7 weeks off work, checks were coming in the mail all the time from merchants saying I over paid on my bills, so I was getting all this unsuspecting money! I now work 5 minutes from my home at a laid back office that is Ok with me taking a month off to go to Jamacia, and when my man gets here I am so close to home I can see him for luch everyday! Plus it pays great!

So when the obstacle came against my fiance I prayed the same prayer. He was getting discouraged and never wanted to ask me for help. He felt bad about the expenses for the wedding and not being able to contribute, but never wanted me to know how bad he felt. I continued to be prayerful for him to get the job that God wanted him to have. So a day before he was going to start a job that he didnt truly want, (it paid very little and required him to be clean shaven YUK!, and literally stand on his feet for over 8 hours a day), he got a call for this much better job in Mobay. Pays over double the other job and its in direct affiliation with a HUGE North American company. So now he can transfer to the States with a good job!! Can you say "God is good!"

So now my prayers are never selfish, I surrender and ask God to do with me what he pleases. I dont know Gods plan for me, but I know that He loves me, and even though its tough love HE always knows whats best for me in the end!

He got the lady at the local post office wanting to come and sing for us at the wedding. Some other guy he met who is a chef is coming and catering some stuff for our gift. Another guy is coming to sing that he met. A brother at his church met me for a few minutes on one of my trips there (before we were even dating) and said "we claim you", basically knowing that me and my guy would end up married, now he's paying for the marriage licensing and paperwork. His family is cooking up something fierce. Grandma already bought her goat to contribute. Its so beautiful to feel loved and blessed like this. Its making me emotional just thinking about it all. We both feel like it was truly Gods will for us to meet and it just feels like HE is planning everything out for us. Sometimes HE takes us down a challenging path, but now we realize its to make our bond stronger and our faith in HIM deeper.

You want to cry!!! I want to cry...that is so beautiful. I know what it is like to have God guide your life, but sometimes it can be hard. I wish you both the best and I am very happy for you, though I don't know you . I remember when my husband prayed about whether he was to marry me and the answer he got was in line with Genesis 24 (the story of Isaac and Rebecca). Be careful, you might go to Jamaica and fall in love so much, you don't want to come back . Everytime I go home, I feel like I don't want to get back on the plane. I pray He continues to order your steps in His word!

OMG! Talk about praying to God to get married. My finace had us on our knees in the hotel room knealing at the bed praying about what to do with our relationship. Me tearing up cause I knew that if we werent to get married there was no need to keep the relationship going. Well he got his answer after that prayer and said he knew that marrying me was what he should do. That it would make no sense for me to come into his life the way I did if we werent met to go the whole mile. We had no idea about the whole visa process really but knew we wanted to be together forever. He proposed 2 days later.

He should sign it...There is a section under his picture that asks for the signature of the person named. Tell him to sign it and this is sent to the NVC when they request it.
