NVC Kingston Jamaica embassy processing

Now I have a new issue . My husband sent his DS3032 email last week monday to choose me as his agent and address. However, so far even though we got the auto response saying that they received the email, NVC is saying they have nothing on their system showing that they received a DS3032. Each time I call they are saying it takes 5-10 business days. ...Is there anyone on VJ who is having a similar issue as I am? If so, how long did it take for them to update your DS3032 on the system? Also, how long did it take for them to update that they received your $70 fee and mail you the actual affidavit of support packet?

My husband also emailed NVC last Monday regarding the DS-3032 and still haven't recv'd a response. Currently NVC is processing those email requests w/in 7-14 days (depending on their workload).

Generating the I-864 is all done automatically. Once the AOS fee bill is received and processed they will automatically send out the form. It usually take 2-4 wks from the receipt date.

The NVC works on a 30 day or less system. If you send them something it will be processed within the month and the next item will be sent out. They will tell you 6-8 weeks for processing but all my docs were completed in a month or less. Hope that helps

It seems like that b/c it takes a while for the actual form to leave the bldg. If you call to check the status of a certain form, they will tell you the form has been generated on a certain date. However, in reality it has been entered to haven't been sent out but the form doesn't normally go out for another few days. Hence, the james short cuts.

Yah, we were approved and had a letter in the mail, the entire time they were telling me they had nothing in their system.

The K1 petitions don't sit at the NVC so they will not update their IVR system w/those cases.

19 days seems to be sitting to me.

Actually it's not when you're comparing to the CR/IR cases that are sitting for a month just for a case # to be assigned. Basically K1's come in get assigned and go out. Whereas other petitons come in get assign THEN have to worked on for another several months.

Hey guys they received the Affidavit of Support fee bill for $70 that I sent them last Monday. I am so excited...dONT KNOW HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE FOR THEM TO SEND ME THE AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT PACKET, BUT i AM KEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED THAT IT WILL BE SOO.... While I am so happy about them receiving the actual fee bill, I am still concerned that they still have not updated the Choice of agent and my husband sent the choice of Agent/address email last Monday.

Thanks! I need it....I am so looking forward to just starting life with my husband instaed of all the trips to Jamaica nad then crying my eyes out when its time for me to come back to the states without him.

Hi Empress. I am trying to understand how come you have not gotten an interview date yet....wAS THE nvc SCHEDULING THE INTERVIEWS IN 2006 or did they start doing that this year? I know that when Kingston used to schedule the interviews it was much slower....Have they given you any reason as to why you ahve not yet been assigned a date yet? Are you able to get answers from anyone?

you and me both. the case was sent to the embassy in January 2007 when they were still scheduling interviews

system changed in June I believe.

They can't tell me anything besides be patient he will get a date soon.

I was patient for most of the year, now I'm simply angry, frustrated and helpless. I can't plan anything for fall. I was hoping he would get here sometime this summer but the summer is almost over now and we still dont have a date. Our situation just sucks right now. And coming on VJ is so depressing with other people getting dates before you and your case was sitting there before theirs

I am sure you have probably done this alraedy, but did you call the embassy in Kingston and try and get some answers? Was NVC able to shed any light as to what the hold up is? I feel so bad for you waiting so long...I know we all know what its like to wait but at the end of the road now its hard for you and your husband to be in Limbo like this. Would it make a difference if you or your husband went to the actual embassy in Kingston to ask questions?

Do you know anyone going through wht you are? as far as waiting? Did NVC tell you anything or is it outta their jurisdiction AT THIS POINT?

The applicant is now eligible for an interview date but the system has not generated a date as yet. When a date becomes available you will be contacted.

No we haven't recv'd anything as of yet. If we don't hear anything by Monday (14 days) then I will send in the form.

Well I cld NVC last night to check to status of the Choice of Agent and the rep told me it hasn't been recv'd. So, this morning I logged into my husband acct and found out he sent the mail w/the wrong case # So I resent it w/the correct case # so hopefully I should recv something soon. If not I will send the form next Friday.

I also mailed the AOS fee bill this morning.
