Dosent your hubby alraedy have a passport? I had to send copies of my husbands pasport with the DS230...
Yeah Tam...I am thinking I wont have adate till November :crying: ...Hubby is optomistic that it will be October....But I dread it may not be till November...Oh well, I have waited this long.. and judging by your time line it was like a few weeks after your case was completed that you got a date, so we are looking into November most likely...

Before you know it, he'll be here. This morning on my way in to work it dawned on me that the interview is in 2 weeks and he should be here in 5 weeks. We are working for him to be here October 13th. I am giving us enough time to have the passport delivered to him within 2 weeks at the latest.

I have been wondering what happened with Empress' interview :clock: . I am so anxious for her. I have been waiting to hear about her case and Shonnie's case (k-1). Anna made a point the other day that she believes the CR-1/IR-1 visas are delivered faster than the K-1/K-3 visas and I wanted to see between both their cases, the delivery time frame. Trying to judge how long we will really have to wait to have hubby's passport with visa in hand.

The visa glued into the passport......they take the passport at interview and return it with the visa in it. that is what she means.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

Yes, he has his passport. I am talking about when they deliver the passport with the visa affixed to 1 of the pages. Hubby has to surrender his passport, the day of the interview, so that the Embassy can print the visa.

Thanks, Jomo's girl

I already bought my ticket . As the petitioner, you are allowed to go in for the interview. I plan to be with him for every step of the way; sorry that I can't be there to hold his hand for the medical  , if he has to get any shots. I am so excited. I am also going to return to travel back with him in October. The tickets are fairly cheap from Florida...wouldn't mind seeing a special for Oct, that would be fantastic.

TAM...Yu no easy at all... I would ahve bought my ticket too girl....But the thing is fares are so expensive...So its like I would eitehr be on the interview with him OR go back and get him once the Interview is over....I am gonna try to do both, but I feel like being there with him on the interview is more important.... I will ahve to see how things work out...I am trying to do so much right now, so I will let him decide if he prefers me to be at the interview more so than coming back to get him.

We shall see...I will base everything on how quickly you get your visa since you and I are pretty close behind each other.. Also, Tam, ask if there is expediting service to get VISA SAME OR NEXT day and then let me know as soon as you are back...That will give me an idea of if I can go to interview and then wait for Visa in Jamaica and just make one trip of it.Yu know weh mi a seh?

There is no expedited service for same day. (And, for God's sake, this is Jamaica.......Soon come, you know!)

Seems 4 days is about the soonest. Lately, they seem to be trending towards a few weeks. I think KK is the one who said they are now saying "in about 2 weeks".
