I also want to volunteer at a legal aid clinic helping folks filling out immigration forms and such. And I'm in the process of applying to law school and trying to get a job at an immigration law firm for the next year. I just finished updating my resume over the weekend and I got it critiqued yesterday so I'll be working on it some more today. I have a few firms I'll be sending them out to next week. Wish me luck

Seriously, I hope not. In my perfect world, I would love to see the parties work together to improve the country. Jamaica need a change, BAD and what has happened in the past decade and a half has left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouth, including my own.

There is too much POVERTY in Jamaica and thats what drives all the violence and major issues...Also, not enough jobs which result in the growth of criminals and prostitution....Jobs need to be created....People need to be paid more...But instead all these others countries are coming to Jamaica and building resorts and taking over the country....Whn yu go MOBAY a pure Indian every where you look...I am not prejudice by any means, but why is it so easy for the Indians to come to Jamaica and run EVERYTHING

Nyseness, I switched jobs in 2006, so I have a W2 for 2006 for the old job and then I submitted my W2 for the new job...I also had a part time job in 2006, so I submitted the W2 for that as well....I got job letters for my current job and my part time job...I submitted those...I didnt submit any info about the job I had the first part of 2006...Because I am not there any more....My income for my Fulltime surpasses the requirement, but I sent the part time info anyway, because with thsse things you never know....The more money you make the better it looks on paper...I would say submit all you ahve...I hope this helps.

I have a quick question for my I-864EZ packet. On my 2006 tax return I worked for two employers. I'm going to send in my 06 tax return along w/both w2's to show my income. However, I am no longer at the Mortgage co and needed to know if I should submit a letter stating that? I am now working two jobs but only want to mention my full time job since it's well over the 125% poverty level. Also my 2nd is w/a temp service and I'm not sure how long it may last.

It's easier for foreigners to get ahead in Jamaica. I remember when my dad was starting his business and he went to one of the government agencies to apply for a grant, they said there was nothing available. Yet, within weeks a news story came out about a call center that was being opened in Ja which required about US$200 mln and they got the loan from the govt. Within 6 months the center closed and they sued the Govt and got even more $$. It breaks my heart because job creation and such is more likely to come from within Jamaica than out

You know you're right. I'm going to see if I can get a letter from my 2nd job. I don't have much in savings b/c pardna is my source of saving. I use my draw for just about everything. I would like to send in my AOS packet by 9/15.

Hey Guys...Is anyone around? I have a question about the Plice Certificate that I have to send to NVC...When my husband went to get the Police Certificate he got 2 of them and now I need to know If I am supposed to send both of them to NVC or am I supposed to keep one?

Hey milan, I was surprised to see that you were online today. You will only need to send one copy to the NVC. Keep the other copy in case anything is misplaced when you go for your interview. Have a great weekend.
