good news

the hubby just called to say he's doing the medical in the morning

he actually took some initiative and went down to Dr. Banbury and he told him to go to Andrews because he had no light. When he went to andrews they were full and told him to come back 9 am tomorrow

so seems like we're relatively on track

That's great Empress! One step closer!

Empress..I just told my spouse, David, about the $24,000 cost for getting all the shots. I think this may cause him to start seriously thinking about his shot requirements now. One he does not want to take all the shots and two he does want to spent that much money if it can be prevent. I have been talking to David about locating a shot record since June but he was too busy and could not "pressure himself" with that "we have plenty of time". I worry too much.

Well now we are less then six weeks out before the interview....so I guess now is the time. I have flat out told David I can not help with this issue but thought I would put this out on VJ and see what my VJ family thinks.

1. David is a policeman so I can not image most of the shots required not being mandatory to have with that type of job interactig with the public

2. Per David you can not even attend school without the shot record.

So give two places that had to require some of these shots is the only solution for not having your shot record is to get all the shots. Is there no place where maybe the shot record is a matter of public records.

Next questions..do you think it is cheaper to go to another doctor other than the two doctors listed for Kingston to get the shot done? Will this cause a problem at the Embassy?

I know a lot of people on this thread is about to go to thier interview. But I also know a lot of members that have been thru the process drop in from time to time.

Hi Ladies,

I have a quick question for my I-864EZ packet. On my 2006 tax return I worked for two employers. I'm going to send in my 06 tax return along w/both w2's to show my income. However, I am no longer at the Mortgage co and needed to know if I should submit a letter stating that? I am now working two jobs but only want to mention my full time job since it's well over the 125% poverty level. Also my 2nd is w/a temp service and I'm not sure how long it may last.

It wouldn't hurt, but I don't think if you omitted it that it would hurt your case. Fact is, you make enough to take care of his financial needs until he gets a job and it will be fine for your case. Just mention your current full time job.

Are you getting a letter from your employer to include with the package?

My hubby went to local clinic in St. Anns Bay with the medical letter in hand and got all of the shots. His arm was sore but it was a lot less than what we would have payed in Kingston, and he didn't require any further medical attention when we filed once he arrived here in the States. We have his immunization card as proof of the shots. Just something to think about. Good luck.

Andre went to a clinic in Mo Bay and got all his shots. He just told the nurse he was preparing to take his visa medical in a few weeks and she knew exactly what he needed.

I haven't heard of anyone stating this caused a problem on medical. What I always suggest if someone asks is to do this before you get the last packet. If you have the shots done, before anyone would tell you where you needed to go, how could that be wrong? You can say you didn't know and a shot is a shot.....some places just gauge you for more money for them.
