Hey Anna...Its seems like the mailing for both those packets were way off..I would call if I were you and inquire.. But then again, you mentioned that you are looking to get a December or later interview so you are probably not worried about the AOS packet yet.

When I cld the rep told me the IV fee bill & AOS packet was generated. That just means it is ready to be mailed but when the packet is actually mailed is a different story. A form can be mailed anywhere from 2-4 wks AFTER it was generated. I will call next wk if I don't recv anything. Even though I want a later interview date I still want to send everything in as soon as possible.

Yeah I understand. Because the rep told me both my AIS and VFB were generated on 7/23 and when I called back that week she told me they were both MAILED that same week they were generated. However, when I got my packet the stamp said it was maile 8/3/2007...Then the other packet was mailed like a week later...They tend to give out incorrect info.

But hang in there...I would say no later than this week you should get the AOS packet.

Empress, I havent heard a thing about the K3....I guess I am just relying on the CR1....uscis STILL HAS THAT AND HAS NOT COMPLETED IT YET...

anyway the CR1 is a better visa, he'll get his green card within weeks after his arrival. He could also just come up and go right back down to tie things up in Jamaica. And then come back up in a few weeks when he has the actual green card. That way he can start working right away.

Now that you've paid the fees, in a month or less they'll send you the AOS and DS-230. And since you already have everything together and will send them back the next day, they won't take longer than a month to complete it.

I bet that they will be done with your case in 2 months from now- around the beginning/middle of october. And then they'll assign an interview date. Even if the K3 gets approved during that time. I doubt it will get an interview date before your CR1.

Empress, you know me and the tears ...I am having a tearful day today....I actually sent back the AOS last week vis overnight mail and they got that paperwork, Last Tuesday.....Anyway, once my honey is here he wont be going back to Jamaica as soon as he comes to tie any lose ends...All those ends will be tied once we get an interview date. So now all I am waiting for is the DS230 so that I can overnight that back and finally be done with the mailing side of things.

Milan - I feel you on that one. He better tie up all those loose ends before he gets here . I have been offline for a little while, so I am trying to catch up. Had a root canal this weekend and now I am in so much pain I don't know what to do with myself . Went back to the dentist and got Vicodin for the pain until it eases.
