Hey everyone 👋 I have a question and I am having a difficult time trying to find specific information about the documentation needed for the I - 130 petition from Peru. Such as when do I need to provide police records for my wife. If anyone has experience starting this process please let me know 🤗 thanks!

Are you just filing?  The petition is about establishing the relationship to the petitioner, so you won't need any documents specific to Peru at that phase.  Those come later, either at NVC or at the interview phase.

I haven’t officially started anything yet I’m in Peru for about 2 more weeks so I just want to make sure I get whatever is going to be needed before I return to the US and start. So it seems the the Marriage Certificate and “her” Birth Certificate is all I need for now from Peru? Also will she be able to upload police certificates later online at the NVC phase? From what she says they are only valid for 3 months but she has a clean record.

Correct, and yes, definitely wait on the police certificate.
