I had a same situation before. Had a tourist visa from PH, travelled in US to visit my partner but we decided to get marry here. It just took us 5 months to get my permanent residency after filing for change of status. The downside is you can't go out of the country (US) until you get your Permanent Residency or your Advance travel parole. The process was smooth as long as you submitted all the documents needed and file all forms that you need to file.

Hi Sir, is your visa still valid when you get married or out of status? My wedding is coming soon to a US Citizen and I need to know our steps after that.

Did you hire a lawyer for this?

What country are you in at the moment?

Here in US right now

Then, follow the guides on adjusting status if you plan to stay.  Be aware that you will not be authorized to work or travel for 8-9 months.

Or, you can go home and your US spouse can petition you for a CR-1 visa.

Will you suggest to hire a lawyer for guidance? or I can simply do it on our own?

You need to start your own thread.  You are commenting on someone else's here.

This is a DIY site, so most of us have done our own processes without a lawyer.  I have no idea what your situation is.
