Hello I am a US Citizen. My wife and step-son came to US 11/2018 via a (CR1). At the time my step-son was 16 years old, so I filed the same visa for both. He is now 19 years old. I also filed for I-751 for both of them 12/2020. The I-751 is still pending and they just extended to 24 months.

I filed for my wife's N400 in citizenship on 12/09/2021 and she has her Biometrics Appointment on 01/06/2022. She was able to apply because I am a US Citizen and she has been been living here for 3 years.

Now I am trying to file for my step-son. I was reading and there was no option to file because he is older than 18 and has to wait 5 years before I can file for him. Are there any other options I have or does he have to wait 5 years from 11/2018?

Thank you in advance for the help.

He needs to file for himself, this is not your case.
