this really bothers me alot, i just recently went to the US embassy and submitted an affidavit of support of my hubby with pay stubs and contract of employment.. [FYI: i got temporary refusal when i had my interview last april 17 for becoming likely a public charge.] Although i know the new income of my hubby would be enough, but this NOTARIZED thing bothers me.. my hubby notarized his new and updated of affidavit of support but his CONTRACT of EMPLOYMENT wasnt?? Will there be a big conflict of issuing a visa if his COE wasnt notarized??! Few days ago me and my hubby had a very lil argument about it and now my hubby made a NEW NOTARIZED COE and fedex it to me. I juz need an advice from u guys?! Do i need to go back to the US EMBASSY , submit it and tell them We forgot to notarized the CEO and now we are goin to submit it???

Was there some communication from the Consulate that gave you the impression the COE needed to be notarized?

What did they ask for? What did you give them in response? Please be specific.

The only thing I notarized was the I-134. My HR department wrote all the pertinent information about my employment on the agency's letterhead and that was just fine. I also submitted about 15 pay stubs. Good luck

The employment letter is part of the I-134, which is notarized. If memory serves, part of what you are affirming when you sign and it is witnessed is that all the information therein is accurate to your knowledge. That would incoporate the employment letter.
