Received a FE, submit an hour later ? How long is the wait ?

So my original submission date is Sept 30

i submitted an expedite Dec 20, it was approved with conditions (pending dq) Dec 22.

I received an FE Dec 30 (add W2 for joint sponsor) which I’m confused about because W2s isn’t a required document so long as you submit a tax transcript . My joint sponsor makes way above the required amount.
I submitted the requested document 1 hour later . Do I go to the back of the line ? I see some posts saying yes and some saying not always.
nvc says they can’t tell me when they will look at the document it depends on their volume ..

Can I call someone else to see if I can speed up the process ? Or I have to wait another 2-3 months ?

We have seen both situations because W2s are not originally required: some get approved in matter of days or couple of weeks at most, and some get put back at the end of the queue.

good luck and hope you get approved quickly

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box
01/12/2016: NOA1

Sigh, I guess it’s just a wait and see. This process really sucks !

If that were the case everyone would do it.

It’s just a simple question. I think everyone makes it so hard for first timers to ask questions that they generally don’t know the answer to. What if there was someone I can call in a situation like this ? I wouldn’t know if I don’t ask. Google doesn’t really provide any straight forward answers and I thought that this was a place to ask your questions and receive positive, non-sarcastic answers. Smh

It is! And it’s actually a great place to ask questions!

But we don’t lie or provide false hope. What would be a positive answer to your concern? “Yes, call xxxx and you’ll be approved next week!”. That would be a lie and not helping you.

I don’t think she was being sarcastic. She was actually telling the truth, which is: if there was a way to speed up the process, then the thousands of people that filed before you would have done that. Unfortunately, there is not.

I’m not on here to argue or make an issue, I’m just saying “if that was the case everyone would do it”, doesn’t help at all. That’s not a reasonable answer. That answer didn’t do anything but made me feel as if I shouldn’t be asking the question to begin with.
The point is I don’t know if there’s a faster way, or if there’s something else I could be doing and if I don’t ask I won’t know.

I looked at your timeline and it seems you are 15 months since filing so you should be seeing something soon.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
