Hello everyone !

I'm new in this forum but I have been taking informations for a while ! My future wife and I are getting married the 30th of April 2022 and we will go ASAP after the wedding into the IR-1/CR-1 procedure !

We are both living in France and I am the beneficiary ( French ) and she is the petitionner ( She is French/American ). We have been together for 3 years. We will sure have other questions coming later but we will create a new topic for it !

Also, sorry for my English, much easier to speak than write it 😁

Here is my question : I'm doing an update of my vaccination and not sure if we both understand correctly which vaccines I need so if someone can confirm that I have to get all the vaccines that there are specified on the USCIS website. Here is a link

https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-8-part-b-chapter-9

Thank you !

Denis

The vaccines can be done at the immigration medical exam.   No need to worry about anything like that now, as it’s years down the road for you.

For US immigration medical exams conducted abroad, the most up-to-date list of requirements would be on the CDC site for panel physicians -- https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/panel-physicians/vaccinations.html#tbl1

Note that you do not need to take all the vaccines in the list.  You only need the ones that are appropriate for your age.

I know in some countries, people like to get their vaccines in advance because the cost at the medical is high compared to regular clinics.

If you get vaccinated before the medical, you need to bring proof of vaccination.

Vaccines someone recently got in Korea before their interview:

Chickenpox,

TDAP,

MMR, and

Flu (this is seasonal-October 1- March 31).

Ok, thank you, I didn't know that you can get the vaccines that you need at the medical exam ! I thought it was for something else ( X ray or lungs scanner ? )

Oh that's nice, thank you ! I'm 30, so basically I'll only need :

Td/Tdap ( I'm not up to date with this one ! )

Measles, Mumps, and Rubella ( Not up to date too 😁 )

Varicella

Am I right ?

I would prefer to get the required vaccines before the medical exam and bring the proof of the vaccination.

We are getting married end of April so we didn't start yet ! But as everyone say, it should take between 1 - 2 years.
