It used to be that almost all AOS cases were approved without an interview. That got flipped a few years ago. I think they just felt sorry for Sarge for the he** they put him through and approved AOS without an interview) To the OP. You will be fine. Someone checked the wrong box when they were reviewing your case. As someone mentioned earlier it appears to be just an administrative problem. Easily fixed at the interview. Take care and good luck!

They did send me through the wringer during the K1 that is for sure LOL!!! I don't think it's going to be a big deal for the OP at all.

How many likes can I give to you? 😂

Anyway the Tier 1 I’ve put a request to today told me they most likely, the mistake was in issuing the appointment and if I don’t make it to a tier 2 before (it’s early February) it will all be fixed at the interview (like you are all saying). Also the 130 was approved more than one month before anything moved in the AoS.

If it’s so, it’s nothing to worry about as our relationship is genuine. If I would have the interview scheduled directly, I wouldn’t have much worry at all.

Good luck with this, will definitely check back to see how it goes.

Turns out I have 2 USCIS letters waiting for me upon my return. First one I thought would be the interview date. The second I had no idea what it was.

Now i'm starting to think it will be a GC. We'll find out on Sunday when I home.

Edit: On second thought the tracker has not changed from interview scheduled, from what I remember it will change to GC issued.

What does your tracker say? Does it show GC issued or Interview?

All the best to you all for the new year!

Hi to all!

I have a peculiar situation. On December 3rd my AoS was approved without interview and I currently have my card in hand.

today they scheduled an interview and the customer service told me they approved me by mistake and can revoke my status.

Anyone know what might happen next?

This isn’t DIY territory.  You need an immigration attorney with you in that interview to defend your approved green card bad press USCIS to back off.
