Interview scheduled after card received

Hi to all!

I have a peculiar situation. On December 3rd my AoS was approved without interview and I currently have my card in hand.

today they scheduled an interview and the customer service told me they approved me by mistake and can revoke my status.

 

Anyone know what might happen next?

The simplest thing to do is actually attend the interview, bring all your documents including your GC and explain the situation to the IO.

Go to that interview and ask there.

Of course I’ll go to the interview but I’m kind of panicking on what it could happen there and why they might have scheduled the interview.

They literally told you what happened: they approved by mistake. So they just want to interview you as if you were not approved yet. Is your interview marriage- based?

Yes, it is marriage based.

Not really, unless you do something wrong. And even then, USCIS has no power to revoke your status. Only an immigration judge can.

Go to the interview with your spouse, take all the evidence. It will be fine.

Yes.   They made an error.

 

”revoke your status” in this case doesn’t mean you would be out of status.   It means that the application needs to be properly adjudicated after an interview, so you would again be in a period of authorized stay while that takes place.

There’s no change it could be an update of my file?:( 

 

We had a baby after the medical was issued and it appears I’m pregnant, for example.

Yes.   It was issued in error.

I had a baby in the meantime. I mean… we definitely have a bona fide relationship and if that it’s wait this boils down to, I think it will be fine. We just miss a shared bank account, but we have a lot of proof - baby included.

 

I’m sorry, I’m post partum and alone as my husband is deployed. They issued the card after approving an expedite.

Yeah usually tier 1 officers have as much information as you and I have. Don't sweat it, just go to the interview and see what happens. 

Plus, what new documents will they see? All your documents were submitted prior to your approval.
